There is a need for common ground here in Grand Rapids,Michigan regarding putting patients first and generally supporting medical marijuana as a concept. Its clear that our opponents believe that medical marijuana is either a stepping stone for recreational purposes or that it does not make good medicine. BOTH ARE WRONG!

Just wondering if the MMMA are still planning on giving us some educational video? To present to the members at the local compassion club meetings? We were told at the Sept. meeting in Lansing that the video's were being re-done. That was 4-5 months ago. Have not heard anything yet.

So I live In Mt. Pleasant MI and this weekend is the annual Summer Fest. So over the last few days I have been doing what I could to set up a booth and hand out information on the Mt. Pleasant Compassion Club as well as MMMA.

I’ve got to drop some mad props towards the MMMA right now, for supporting me in the month since my husband passed away from his illness on our one-year anniversary (Ok, I don’t officially have the paperwork on that yet, but, well, you know…) I’ll never forget your tear-streaked faces as you spoke with me at Matt’s service, or the flowers you sent or brought to me, the cards, the well-wishes because so-and-so knew so-and-so might be stopping by to see me---it’s been beautiful, it’s been *real*, and I’m not going anywhere :)

Just a little note to let everyone know that Anderson Cooper has been doing a show about Marijuana for and against on CNN at 10p.m.he will be discussing this subject for the rest of the week. Tune in and enjoy.

Sheriff Dan Hayns left me a message this morning stating that he would not be able to attend our meeting tonight. This was his message:

While I cannot speak for all of the Compassion Clubs, I can speak for the Brighton CC. We do have alot of work to do, to get this whole ball rolling properly, and the vendors are an important part of what is going on. Our meetings time is limited however, and we must use every minute of that time to get the business at hand accomplished.
