Why The Fda And Dea Will Never Reschedule Marijuana

Recommended Posts

here is specifically one of the main reasons why marijuana will never be rescheduled by the dea/fda.because marijuana is a plant and has no standard dose, no reproducability, further, i would say that even clones will have different thc levels based on lights, nutes, other environment factors. the only way to make it reproducable and standardized would be to homogenize the clone buds/flowers into a product.in essence, only standard products, with reproducable chemistry, can be scheduled and held up to the FDA food drug and cosmetic act.

In its review (HHS, 2015), the HHSevaluated the five elements with respectto the currently available research formarijuana. The HHS concluded thatmarijuana does not meet any of the fiveelements—all of which must bedemonstrated to find that a drug has a‘‘currently accepted medical use.’’ Abrief summary of the HHS’s evaluationis provided below.Element #1: The drug’s chemistrymust be known and reproducible.‘‘The substance’s chemistry must bescientifically established to permit it tobe reproduced into dosages which canbe standardized. The listing of thesubstance in a current edition of one ofthe official compendia, as defined bysection 201(j) of the Food, Drug andCosmetic Act, 21 U.S.C. 321(j), issufficient generally to meet thisrequirement.’’ 57 FR 10499, 10506(March 26, 1992).Marijuana, as defined in the petition, includes all Cannabis strains. (Forpurposes of the CSA, marijuanaincludes all species of the genusCannabis, including all strainstherein 47 ). Based on the definition ofmarijuana in the petition, the chemistryof marijuana is not reproducible suchthat a standardized dose can be created.Chemical constituents including D 9 -THC and other cannabinoids varysignificantly in marijuana samplesderived from different strains(Appendino et al., 2011). As a result, there will be significant differences insafety, biological, pharmacological, andtoxicological parameters amongst thevarious marijuana samples. Due to thevariation of the chemical composition inmarijuana samples, it is not possible toreproduce a standardized dose whenconsidering all strains together. The HHS does advise that if a specificCannabis strain is cultivated andprocessed under controlled conditions, the plant chemistry may be consistentenough to derive reproducible andstandardized doses.
maybe they will do specific cannabis strains ?charlottes web ? doubt it.dont fall for this . its the tax stamp act all over again.and if you ever wondered how to get the "accepted" from the "no accepted medical benefit" ... who are the kind of medical professionals that can make a determination?

The HHS concluded that there iscurrently no evidence of a consensusamong qualified experts that marijuanais safe and effective in treating a specificand recognized disorder. The HHSindicated that medical practitionerswho are not experts in evaluating drugscannot be considered qualified experts(HHS, 2015; 57 FR 10499, 10505).
so even if you have an expert, wont even be considered by HHS.how many evaluating drug experts are there ?

Rescheduling is just another lie for money anyway. It should be free to use like any other herb. Do you know how many unscheduled natural herbs there are that will give you a buzz? The list is nearly endless. Yet this one, one of the most harmless, is singled out to be 'scheduled'. It's a farce. Rescheduling is just another rabbit hole.
