My Response To Politicians Asking For Money

I received this letter in my inbox this morning, please read my response as this is how I will handle all request for political support in the future. I'm hoping that if enough of us do this, they may take notice.

Take action!

Make a donation to power the CREDO SuperPAC's grassroots campaign to defeat these Tea Party extremists.

Take action now!

CREDO Action | more than a network, a movement.

Meet the first six of the Tea Party Ten.

Dear John,

Joe Walsh. Steve King. Sean Duffy. Frank Guinta. Chip Cravaack. Allen West.

Even in the most extreme Congress in history, these six stand out.

They've all voted to let women die, to gut the Clean Air Act and to destroy Medicare.

But that's just the beginning of the bigoted, sexist, anti-science, hypocritical, corrupt and downright crazy things that have been said and done by the first six congressmen with the dubious honor of being selected for the CREDO SuperPAC's Take Down the Tea Party Ten campaign.

You'd think, as an elected member of Congress, you wouldn't scream at your constituents for blaming the banks for our financial crisis. But Illinois' Joe Walsh sure did.

You'd think you wouldn't openly praise shamed Senator Joe McCarthy or his shameful "un-American activities committee." Meet Iowa's Steve King.

You'd think you wouldn't say publicly that "Goebbels would be proud of the Democratic propaganda machine" or that anyone with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker was "a threat to the gene pool." But Allen West is so crazy he thinks that's ok.

Wisconsin's Sean Duffy is a former reality TV star who has co-sponsored every anti-choice bill in Congress, and admires Gov. Walker's attacks on Wisconsin workers.

New Hampshire's Frank Guinta campaigned on overturning Roe V. Wade, and is also called one of the most corrupt members of Congress.

And Minnesota's Chip Cravaack is so hypocritical, he didn't just run away from his Tea Party support when he got to Congress, he ran away from Minnesota — and moved his family to New Hampshire.1

It's crazy. These people are representing the American people in Congress. That is unacceptable.

Since we announced the SuperPAC about 6 weeks ago, a lot has happened.

We've hired a great Campaign Manager — Matthew "Mudcat" Arnold — who you'll be hearing from soon.

We picked these candidates, who we are going to show what accountability tastes like.

And after the donations of more than 15,000 progressives across the country, we are second only to Stephen Colbert's Colbert SuperPAC as the largest grassroots SuperPAC in the country.

That's important — because the entire purpose of this campaign is about putting power back in the hands of activists. That's why we'll be opening offices in these ten districts, hiring local staff, and filling the offices with volunteers.

After Citizens United, the likes of Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers got to pump untold millions of dollars into attack ads that resulted in the election of Tea Party candidates who are fundamentally unfit to serve in Congress and who have behaved as if they were above accountability.

Joe Walsh, Chip Cravaack, Allen West, Steve King, Sean Duffy and Frank Guinta got elected on this Tea Party wave.

It's time to crash the party. Let's take our Congress back.

My Response: Good morning,

When you start applying science to the Marijuana laws, that's when I will be willing to support you with a financial contribution. The reason that I take this stand is because I live in a Medical Marijuana State with the law of the people in the form of a peoples initiative. The state has refused to implement the law and can't even get our MMJ cards to us with in 4 - 6 months leaving us open to prosecution. The State AG is a one man wrecking crew who refuses to obey the law let alone implement it. Even our states constitution is being ignored by him and his gang of judges and politicians.

So to make a long story short, if you can't help me, I cannot help you either. I'm tired of the one-way streets.

Regards,

JWG

I don't know where to post this, I trust that you moderators will, thanks.
