After the legalization of marijuana in Michigan, some patients are thinking they could stop paying the state $100 for the special mmp card , and just use the recreational marijuana law to grow their medicine.
A patient with a registered card can use the ultimate defense and immunity to avoid a driving under the influence charge.
Only adults 21 or over are protected by the new legalization law, but no one yet knows how the new law will affect driving privileges.
Is the zero tolerance of THC in your blood law still in effect for adult use marijuana ?
The new law is similarly worded to the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act.
      Whereas the MMMA says
While the meaning of "under the influence" was not decided within the MMMA until 2012, with People v Koon, that was 4 years of police arresting patients for driving with marijuana in their blood.
The court in People v Koon came to the conclusion:
Ignoring that for a minute, the Michigan State Police have been tasked with sampling saliva during road side stops for a task force on marijuana driving. The task force was created in order to find a nanogram limit for THC in blood, even though 50 years of scientific research on the subject has consistently said marijuana does not affect driving.
So my advice is, if you are a patient, keep the patient card active until the courts either give up on all marijuana issues, or at least this driving issue , or it is decided by the Michigan Supreme Court.
Basically, until non-patients get a similar "People v Koon" ruling from the Michigan Supreme Court, it is advised that any patients keep their cards to protect them fully under the MMMA.
"Don't be the first person to test this in court."

  6. Thank you! I called the number in the link and they do not have a reciprocity agreement with MI. So now we will stay the night in MI and travel without the box to Ohio. Minor inconvenience.
  7. https://norml.org/legal/item/ohio-medical-marijuana-law I didn't see reciprocity mentioned in the Ohio law.
  8. About to make a trip to Toledo, Ohio. Can I carry a lock box with marijuana and be covered under the reciprocal agreement with the two states? Or do I need to find place to leave lock box before leaving MI. Only going to Ohio for a few hours.

  10. I am in Battle Creek, MI and right now I have Red Diesel and Blue Cheese. 🙂 Blue Cheese clones available. (small, just rooted!) (Contact poster via private message no personal phone numbers allowed in open forums .)
  11. Prices will eventually come down. Arizona dispensaries regularly feature 1 oz deals for $100 or even less.
  12. I have been specializing in growing Kush hybrids for the past few years. I offer flower, edibles and cbd mct oil. My requested donations are well below dispensary prices.
  13. Seeking new patients in the Houghton Lake area. Providing Bud, trim, Simpson oil, Candies, Keif for cooking.
  14. I've used almost everything except for CMH and 'really high end' LEDs . From what I've personally experienced I would veg with a HID as first choice and COB LED's secondly. I have a COB light thats full spectrum and quite nice- Its rated as a 1200 watt (but LED ratings are mostly garbage and not based on reality but on some mathematical 'equivalency ' or something) but pulls closer to 250 watts of actual power. Its a good light- I use 2 of them in a 4 x4 veg tent and they do an astonishing job for fairly cheap lights with low power consumption... Even though I prefer HID's, the tradeoff in heat (for me) vs how much light on get on my girls means those Cobs are a better bet for me- In my situation. I can say with certainty the LEDs go a great job of rooting and promoting fast ,healthy growth- But I would still prefer HIDs if I had better temp control options- I wouldnt even think about trying to flower with cheap(er) LEDs although the really high end stuff seems to handle flowering quite well- If I had the cash I would probably move to all really high end leds, myself.
  15. Is it really that expensive? Wow- I cringe at what people pay for medical prices at $hops and this will even worse. I think the $hops are going to be awesome for someone like myself who grows and will occasionally want to sample a few different grams of different strains before I decide what seeds I'm going to buy ...But not for more than $10- $15/gram. I couldnt believe the photos of all the people standing in line and camping out- Maybe I would have done that in my early 20s just to be part of it but probably not even then lol
  16. Go to the link I provided and create a caregiver looking for patient post there you can put in the description of your ad your location and in the text of the ad you can post pictures of your grows and your products available to any patient that wants to sign on with you .

  21. Hi ! We have every thing you could possibly want in LED, direct factory contact, let me know, (we supplied the first grow ops in Wa State and we have a lot of experience .:) Thanks! Should I list my e-mail here? Don't know, first time here, czimmerman@ahartsi.com
  22. We supplied the first legal grow ops in Wa State, please contact me for LED, security and anything related to legal grow...
  23. As long as legalization is left alone and it doesn't affect medical or recreational growers ability to grow I could care less if someones out to make a buck on gullible people its not like anything I can say or do will change a thing .

Hello, is there a place or forum where caregivers and patients can connect. Doesn't seem to be much out there to address this. Thank you!
  25. Some places only allowed patrons to purchase a max of 7 grams. Must be low stock. Sure it will get better as time goes on. We stop occasionally and purchase edibles. Grow our own flower.
  26. $130 a quarter $480 an ounce so they give you a discount if you buy an ounce lol .
  27. Hold on to your hats! There is a new "high end" dispensary in Ferndale. It's medical, not recreational, but I had to share the prices. They had some bud that they were asking $65 a gram for. I didn't buy any.
