  1. as a forum monitor you should have known. I thanks for the apology to the site - "dead-end"? Locked means the topic has been completed - a person asked a question and thanked the forum when he/she got the answer they needed. A decent topic can also be locked to preserve it from pages and pages of trolling between fighting members with different opinions.
  2. the MMMAct says they honor cards from reciprocating states in USA that have medical marijuana laws. It does not protect you in another country or offer dual membership to a medical marijuana program. you would be obtaining it on the street. when I traveled to England, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Jamaica - I had to use street sources and that is very risky.
  3. PB is wrong. We have a CG section where CG makes his post advertising his services. To prevent people trolling those posts, we lock them.
  4. Barbara Agro is a good example - she was a receptionist for her son's dispensary. She was convicted for making the statement "Oh, you are here to sell meds to (her son)" that statement implicated her in the dispensary business. I like the idea of the hydro water bin being outside the locked grow room, that can be accessed by a house guest.
  5. I guess my thread is off topic. follow the supreme court announcements in a new thread.
  6. lol, so we torpedoed our own ship to start vietnam, that is a good one - please list supporting documents (not from conspiracy sites please)
  7. that is true - out of 300,000 cardholders and who knows how many with just a Doc's Rec in Michigan - and how many are arrested? I also agree - many of these cases were testing the boundaries of the law and not trying to be 100% compliant. Some had bad advice, some did not consult a lawyer to properly interpret the law. You want to risk arrest, all you have to do is grow outside without properly enclosing the plant, have a grow down in the basement with no door lock to separate people in the home from it, smoke and drive, sell to anyone that you are not connected to via the registry, attract police attention by committing other crimes like domestic violence, noise, smell, and bad driving. I think that we should point out - there are many of us enjoying the MMMAct without being arrested or hassled. We do not need to promote a culture of fear (like a government or corporation jeez) to control people. We can advise them of safety. The MMMAct is working.
  8. someone asked about the PHC and CSA - "PUBLIC HEALTH CODE (EXCERPT) Act 368 of 1978 333.7403 Knowingly or intentionally possessing controlled substance, controlled substance analogue, or prescription form; violations; penalties; discharge from lifetime probation. Sec. 7403. (1) A person shall not knowingly or intentionally possess a controlled substance, a controlled substance analogue, or a prescription form unless the controlled substance, controlled substance analogue, or prescription form was obtained directly from, or pursuant to, a valid prescription or order of a practitioner while acting in the course of the practitioner's professional practice, or except as otherwise authorized by this article. http://legislature.m...px?mcl-333-7403 PUBLIC HEALTH CODE (EXCERPT) Act 368 of 1978 333.7303a Licensed prescriber; administering or dispensing controlled substance without separate license; use of other controlled substances; recording response; records required to be maintained; waiver of requirement under MCL 333.7303. Sec. 7303a. (1) A prescriber who holds a controlled substances license may administer or dispense a controlled substance listed in schedules 2 to 5 without a separate controlled substances license for those activities. http://legislature.m...x?mcl-333-7303a PUBLIC HEALTH CODE (EXCERPT) Act 368 of 1978 333.17722 Michigan board of pharmacy; duties generally. Sec. 17722. In addition to the functions set forth in part 161, the board shall: (a) Regulate, control, and inspect the character and standard of pharmacy practice and of drugs and devices manufactured, distributed, prescribed, dispensed, administered, or issued in this state and procure samples and limit or prevent the sale of drugs and devices that do not comply with this part. (b) Prescribe minimum criteria for the use of professional and technical equipment and references in the compounding and dispensing of drugs and devices. © Grant a pharmacy license for each separate place of practice in which the compounding or dispensing of prescription drugs or devices, or both, or the receiving of prescription orders in this state is to be conducted. http://legislature.m...x?mcl-333-17722 "no one may prescribe or dispense a schedule 1 controlled substance" http://www.deadivers...anual012508.pdf
  9. PB's experience and the COA ruling should be enough to convince people to secure their grows.
  10. tim for safety sake - for clarity - your outdoor grow needs to be enclosed on all sides, and that means the top. The COA said that the dog kennel was fine - except it was not secure to the ground. "In People v King, the Court of Appeals held that a registered qualifying patient under the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act (MMMA) may only avoid prosecution for cultivating marihuana under § 8 of the Act if he has complied with other applicable sections of the MMMA. Section 4 of the act allows a registered qualifying patient “to cultivate marihuana . . . in an enclosed, locked facility.” Defendant was growing marihuana in a dog kennel that was six feet tall, but had an open top and was not anchored to the ground. The sides of the kennel were covered with black plastic and the entrance to the kennel was secured by a lock. The Court of Appeals ruled that defendant failed to comply with § 4, determining that an “open, moveable, chain-link kennel” does not qualify as an “other enclosed area” under the act." I have experience with an outdoor grow that passed inspected because it was enclosed on the top to be secure from anyone reaching in and over. BTW - prisons have armed guards on patrol.
