  1. Not just in Michigan New York, NY – A group of scientists who worked at a crime lab for the New York State police are now suing the department, claiming that the agency encouraged them to overlook false test results so they could get more prosecutions. The three scientists who filed the lawsuit said that they attempted to correct some of the errors that were taking place in the crime lab, and they were silenced and retaliated against because the errors were working out in the department’s favor, and ensuring them more prosecutions. 5. Was Scalia Murdered? Forget “Conspiracy Theory.” This Is Real. Let’s jump right in with quotes from the Washington Post, 2/15, “Conspiracy theories swirl around the death of Antonin Scalia”. The Post published extraordinary statements from the Facebook page of “William O. Ritchie, former head of criminal investigations for D.C. police”: “As a former homicide commander, I am stunned that no autopsy was ordered for Justice Scalia.” http://www.activistpost.com/2016/02/was-scalia-murdered-forget-conspiracy-theory-this-is-real.html

  11. Emails Show Flint Govt Bought Clean Water for Themselves While Residents Drank Poison for a Year Flint, MI — As the water crisis in Flint shows no signs of coming to an end anytime soon, one thing is clear — not one government official has yet to be held accountable for causing it. As details emerge about how officials have known about the tainted water and simply allowed the public to consume it without taking action, newly released documents reveal that the state wasn’t entirely without action — for themselves. 12. POLITICS Just In: Gov. Snyder Just Got Called To Testify Before Congress For Water Poisoning The whirlwind of backlash facing the Republican Governor of Michigan, Rick Snyder, is coming to a head. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has summoned Snyder to testify in order to determine exactly how a cost-cutting switch in water sources, orchestrated by Snyder’s appointed emergency manager, lead to the mass poisoning of the city of Flint, Michigan with dangerous, lead-contaminated water. Michigan Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence (D-14th District)’s congressional office called for the hearing, even though Flint is not in her district – but it’s clear she has more than one bone to pick with the governor over the health of Michigan’s children, as her press release indicates: http://www.occupydemocrats.com/just-in-gov-snyder-just-got-called-to-testify-before-congress-for-water-poisoning/
  13. Anonymous Launches #OpFlint, Calls for Michigan Governor to Face Criminal Charges Over Toxic Water Crisis Flint's ongoing "toxic waste" water crisis, as previously reported, has only grown more unfathomable with each passing day. With as many as 90,000 people exposed to potential lead poisoning and other dangerous elements simply by turning on the faucet, a state of emergency was declared by President Barack Obama earlier this week. However, citizens and fellow Americans alike are still calling for concrete answers as to how such an egregious mistake could have been allowed to persist. http://www.complex.com/pop-culture/2016/01/anonymous-op-flint-michigan-water-crisis-governor-rick-snyder-criminal-charges?utm_campaign=complexmag&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&sr_share=facebook

  16. SHOCKING: MARIJUANA ARRESTS STILL HAPPEN EVERY 45 SECONDS… If you think legalization has reduced the number of marijuana arrests in the country, think again – the arrest rates are still outrageous. According to the FBI Uniform Crime Report, every 45 seconds a person is arrested for a marijuana-related crime. The FBI claims that marijuana-related arrests increased in 2014, the first time this statistic has gone up since 2009. The report shows that in 2013, there were 693,482 marijuana arrests but that number increased to 700,993 in 2014—90% of these arrests were for simple possession. 18. EPA stayed silent on Flint’s tainted water The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s top Midwest official said her department knew as early as April about the lack of corrosion controls in Flint’s water supply — a situation that likely put residents at risk for lead contamination — but said her hands were tied in bringing the information to the public. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2016/01/12/epa-stayed-silent-flints-tainted-water/78719620/
