  1. You'll probably find Trump has similar investments.
  2. No, the guy wasn't joking. But, I'm now thinking what he probably saw was a large number of youth coming in to sign the petition who weren't even of voting age. It's what we would of done as teens when I was a kid. We would of turned it into a big get together and everybody would've been talking about they signed the petition too.
  3. I totally agree! I put that out there in the interest of fact checking and debate. The antis are always going to lie and twist things around. I think that most people that come to this website come to be educated. We shouldn't disappoint them by holding anything back. I think democracy and the freedom of speech require the unhindered free flow of information and ideas.
  4. It makes me wonder how much money Trump and Sessions have invested in the pharmaceutical industry. We'll probably never know unless Trump's forced to release his tax returns. This might happen if the recent suit filed against him proceeds to discovery. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/dc-and-maryland-to-sue-president-trump-alleging-breach-of-constitutional-oath/2017/06/11/0059e1f0-4f19-11e7-91eb-9611861a988f_story.html?utm_term=.48bc0439ddfa
  5. I definitely agree with this. If right wing, conservative types, who are opposed to legalizing cannabis, picked up on it they might try to exploit the idea to their advantage.
  6. In the past, I've noticed that zapatosunidos posts were always thoughtful and informative and that he is an educated and reasonable man. So this leads me to the obvious conclusion that this must be a family matter. And this is understandable to me. We can't begin to know the type of duress zapatosunidos is under and we should not judge him harshly on this. He does a great job with this website. My request to zapatosunidos is that he help get this thread back on track as Wild Bill wanted it. I would really like to know where others are signing the petition and what their experiences were. Does anybody know where to go to sign the petition in the Thumb region - particularly in Bad Axe? I have friends in that area who want to sign it. My last post to Restorium2 is a plea. Please follow the example of zapatosunidos. You'll do much better.
  7. You still can't think logically here. It's what he said, not what I inferred. True, I do still believe people could mess up on a mediocre weed high on things like a middle initial or a middle name if the stringent standards I thought were being applied were actually being applied. Fortunately, those standards are not being applied as blackhorse pointed out in his post.
  8. I sound this way to you because of your limited knowledge and ability to think logically and rationally. The point is the man at the shop didn't say they were high on just marijuana. He only said they were "too high" and made mistakes in his opinion. And his opinion was based on his observations and the observations of the other employees who worked there. If you find what I reported as offensive, I believe you should consider a hiatus in posting and seek counseling on this. Seriously! Because cannabis is illegal it is dangerous. I can point you to a number of robberies of marijuana dealers that could've went bad and some that did. For example, Man charged in Green Bay murder, drug robbery, at http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/story/news/local/2015/07/15/suspect-custody-murder-near-uwgb/30188085/. And this was over 2 oz. When cannabis becomes legal you will see less problems of this nature I'm sure.
  9. I don't advocate for recreational use. I advocate for legalization. I strongly suspect the "recreational use" term was started by the corporate media as propaganda to slow down legalization. Recreational use creates the image of people getting recklessly high for purely, self-centered, pleasure. Because of this image, those people who do not intoxicate themselves on anything legal or illegal are going to oppose it and vote against it. Now the term "legalization" says something else in my mind. This means ending criminal penalties and prison sentences that cost tax paying citizens, but make money for law enforcement, corrections, lawyers, the courts and politicians. Legalization also means regulation and taking marijuana out of the hands of criminals, gangs and mafias who are behind serious violence and the corruption of the foregoing government officials in our society. As far as the gateway drug idea goes, I can see you don't even understand what it really means by your post. I was a product of the late 1960s and early 1970s. I and my friends all tried alcohol and cigarettes way before we used cannabis and hallucinogens. The cannabis and hallucinogens came about as a part of the counter-culture movement of the youth against the Vietnam war and the government during that era. That was the gateway. You can actually say Nixon and his policies were the gateway to those drugs back then. Gateway to me is a prescription to Vicodin and Oxycontin leading to heroin addiction. You can't argue against that. Got it?
  10. And I would add we don't need someone who picks fights, drags threads off topic, and violates the simplest rules of logic and rational thinking. The goal here is to stimulate the free flow of information and ideas. You don't do this with your off brand style of posting. You inhibit instead.
  11. Does anybody know where to go sign the petition in the Bad Axe area? I have friends in that area who would like to sign it.
  12. In my day getting high or stoned meant not just smoking weed alone, but drinking, smoking weed and using hallucinogens such as LSD, PCP, peyote, mushrooms, etc, together. We might smoke weed and drink all night then drop some acid. Or drop some speed and then smoke weed and drink like a fish all night. That was the 1960s and 70s before people starting using cannabis as medicine only. Today, I think its best to use cannabis as medicine only. Of course that's just an old man's opinion.
  13. But on second thought I think I did hear it right. Otherwise I wouldn't have went home and got my voters registration had I thought there was no need to. He wasn't reading from a rules form to me and he didn't show me a rules form. And he didn't stop from going home to get that information. And he did tell me people were coming in to high for the 2016 petition and were signing it wrong in his opinion. Got it?
  14. This is good news! I'm pretty certain the guy told me it had to be exactly like on the voters registration. Possibly I didn't hear it right. I actually went home and got my voter registration letter to make sure.
  15. Is this what the NORML meeting is all about? Did you get a leaflet in Iron Mountain like I got?
