(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police have busted a large marijuana growing operation in Kalamazoo. Members of the Southwest Enforcement Team or SWET went to Den Adel Court to serve a search warrant and found what they call one of the largest indoor marijuana grows they've ever seen. Police say they were acting on a tip and came to the home where they found rooms filled with pot plants. There were 80 large plants and even more smaller ones. Many of them had buds that were about eight inches big. They tell us this large amount of pot could have brought in a lot of money and they are happy to have it off the streets. "This is significant just because of the fact that the amount of time and the extent that they put into this, the growth of some of these plants is substantial," said Det. Lt. James Coleman of SWET. Police are now looking for those responsible. They say they believe three people lived inside the home and there is one person in particular they are searching for.
