KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police have busted a large marijuana growing operation in Kalamazoo.

Members of the Southwest Enforcement Team or SWET went to Den Adel Court to serve a search warrant and found what they call one of the largest indoor marijuana grows they've ever seen.

Police say they were acting on a tip and came to the home where they found rooms filled with pot plants.

There were 80 large plants and even more smaller ones. Many of them had buds that were about eight inches big.

They tell us this large amount of pot could have brought in a lot of money and they are happy to have it off the streets.

"This is significant just because of the fact that the amount of time and the extent that they put into this, the growth of some of these plants is substantial," said Det. Lt. James Coleman of SWET.

Police are now looking for those responsible.

They say they believe three people lived inside the home and there is one person in particular they are searching for.

I am praying that this was a legit operation and those that are out medicine, and those that lost plants and/or equipment sue the hell out of those responsible. If it's not legit, it just turns my stomach. Why can't we just legalize this and move on. Seriously, if it were legalized across the board, no more wasted tax payers money, no more wasted court time, no more terrorized citizens afraid to grow a beautiful plant with so much potential to help the world heal. No more unscrupulous people raiding and thieving. And the best of all, marijuana growing out in bloom in every ditch, canal, and field! It would sure make the drive to see the fall colors all the more beautiful if you could pull off in a rest stop and hunt for some buds. :)

420Peace Scotybud,

I believe the War ends when WE make it end.

The same way we have the MMMA.

I ends when the people vote out the politicians who control the Gangsters of America...

We help ourself no one else will!
