budpuffer Posted May 16, 2010 Report Share Posted May 16, 2010 i was looking at replaceing the 600 watt hps bulb in my bloom room and ran across ArgoMax dual mh/hps bulbs,i like the idea of a wider light spectrum,and i know alot of folks with bigger grows run both lights in their bloom rooms,but are they worth the money?160 bucks seems like alot when you can get a hps for 70.just so we're all on the same page i'm not talking about a conversion bulb but rather a single bulb that runs hps and mh at the same time.if anybody is running them whats the skinny??i'd be useing it in my bloom room only,i run two 400 watt mh conversion bulbs in my grow room..thanks zb Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Grow Thread Posted May 16, 2010 Report Share Posted May 16, 2010 i wouldnt do it. i have played around with adding MH during flowering and it can be tricky and strain specific to say the least. yes, you will probably see a small yield improvement with the added spectrum, but you may also find yourself with lighter, more "airy" buds than you are used to. save your money and go with what you KNOW works. my 2 cents Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
