Duff / Vapoo Butter?

Has anybody made this? I know you can use it, some just add it to the brownie mix, but I cant find anything on duff butter for some reason. If anybody has made this what are the effects? I know depending on how much it was vaped out of the bud the less THC will be there, but what about CBD (I can never remember what it is, if that is not it.) I just want to know if its worth making butter for a pain relieve.

I use my own duff for making canna-oil, the duff is produced by only vaping my meds at lower temps, then adding 50% buds with 50% duff to my oil seems to work wonders. There is not a whole bunch of THC and cannabinoids in the duff, but it has all been decarboxylated, making what is there much more accessable for the stomach to absorb. Not many have walked away from one of the "Muffin Man's" medibles without a smile on their faces. It works, I can attest, and so would Swampy! He gave me the nickname...Peace...j.b.

I just made duff butter last week. I used an oz. of duff and a sm. amount of kief. I then made puppy chow and rice krispy treats with the butter. I am happy to say it worked perfectly. I love the body buzz i get from the treats and they taste so good.

That sounds soooo good, to bad not for me... I had an accident when I was young, hit my mouth on a trampoline. Well long story short, all the roots of my teeth were 10-30% bigger then what they should of been. I had teeth breaking below the gum line, I even had a wisdom tooth come in broke in half... Anywho, I could not take the pain and tried to get a few teeth pulled and a partial denture, but couldnt do that, but could get a full denture. I got them and when I called about a re-fitting they said I would have to pay a bunch of money I cant afford. So the dentures dont fit... I can eat most things, just not crunchy or crispy

I just got some simpson oil and i plan on trying to add some into the caps.

I have herd of this, Someone told me to add a little bit of olive oil to it, helps extract some THC or helps digest the THC or something like that. How much did you pay for the caps and the machine? Are you using 00 caps?

I can attest. JB is THE muffin man.

 

I have been experimenting with making the oil from the duff from our Iolite. Actually the muffins we've made are "night-timers"...While I now understand why your muffins are perfect as you use 50% buds along WITH the duff...now I know.

They are not much, I order the kosher caps myself as they are just a little thicker and stronger.

With the others I have cracked them far too many times when packing the ground herbs into the caps

with the packer.

 

I have never heard of adding olive oil before, that is interesting.

Recently I was lucky enough to acquire some Simpson Oil and I have been putting about a pea sized ball

into the bottom of an empty cap (via an oral syringe) and then packing them with duff.

I took two of those last night before bed and I slept like a BABY! I usually get about 5 hrs of sleep

on a good night and last night I slept about 8 or 9 hour.

 

This is the first time I have done that, previously I had just taken duff caps and really enjoy them.

They help with my stomach when I am having issues and if you are going someplace that you

are unable to medicate for sometime they are nice if you have pain issues, just very mild and subtle

but really help out quite a bit.

Thanks for the link to that. Its something that I would be interested in looking into. I have been thinking about the Simpson Oil a lot. I made a small crude batch and smoked it, yes it was wonderful, but not medicinal. I only used a 1/8 so there was not much, maybe a day or two dose. When stuff goes right in this world, we will be able to make the oil, or obtain it very cheeply without fear.... but I dont think "when" is coming anytime soon

I make caps, too, and I make both 00 and 0 sizes. Depending on my need, and that of my patients. One of the easiest things to make, IMHO.

 

That, and most of patients seem to prefer to take caps instead of smoking. It's a little more work on my part, but that's all part of being a caregiver.

Yes you can use vapoo / duff to make these. Just use a 50/50 ratio of poo or duff

 

I ran across this while looking for easy ways to medicate in public situations where smoking would not be appropriate. There are numerous web sites that recite this formula.

One half ounce of dried and cleaned marijuana ground to fine powder in a small coffee grinder equals about one half cup of powder.

 

Set the half-cup of green powder by the stove.

 

Use a very small saucepan. Add 3 or 4 tablespoons of unprocessed virgin coconut oil, olive oil or canola oil. Set burner on medium, and use a candy thermometer (up to 400 degrees) to bring the oil to a temperature of 300 degrees. Note: the temperature of heated oil generally rises about 25 degrees after being removed from medium stove heat, so remove from stove at about 325, then wait a moment until the temperature peaks and begins to fall.

 

When the oil reaches 350 degrees add the entire half-cup of powder all at once. The oil will sizzle slightly as the reaction takes place. Stir thoroughly, making sure that the powder and oil are completely mixed. (Do not use thermometer for stirring because it might break.)

 

If the mixture is not pasty, then carefully add more green powder or oil. (Only use enough oil to saturate the green powder to a dark green paste. Too much oil makes messy pills-too little, and the cannabis compounds will burn instead of bonding to the fat content of the oil.)

 

Mix thoroughly, then return to burner on medium heat. Watch the temperature. Continue mixing until the paste looks more oily at about 300 to 325 degrees. Those who have used non-smoking marijuana vaporizers will recognize the smell of vapor trails that rise at 300 to 325 degrees. As soon as the vapor trails appear strongly, remove from heat and mix, then set aside to cool. (Accurate temperature control is most important.

 

After heating, the paste should still be about the same color. If the paste has turned rich brown instead of dark green, the product was overheated and the majority of medicinal compounds were lost.)

 

Let the paste cool below 100 degrees before packing into gelatin capsules using standard herbal gel cap machines available for under $20 at most health food stores.

 

This recipe makes about 50 of the large size gelatin capsules. Do not use vegetarian gel caps that can melt from exposure to vegetable oils. Pills stored in a freezer will maintain potency for many months.

 

Common doses are in the range of 2 to 5 pills, depending on the quality of the marijuana used and the patient's personal use.

 

I have found the best results are obtained when pills are taken just before dinner as therapeutic effects manifest more fully during periods of relaxation and limited activity.
