Medical Marijuana Dispensaries To Be Discussed At Public Hearing

Recommended Posts

Coldwater, Mich. —

On June 7 the Coldwater Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on an ordinance which will allow medical marijuana dispensaries by

special use permit in the city.

In November 2008, voters in Michigan approved the Medical Marijuana Act by a 63 percent margin.

As other cities continue to scramble to enact legislation on the issue, city staff, including Public Safety Director Brett Pehrson, have

suggested the zoning ordinance for Coldwater.

The proposal would require those that can become “qualified caregivers”

to have an enclosed facility to grow more than 25 plants or possess

more than five ounces to obtain a special use permit from the Planning

Commission

I WOULD LIKE TO GET A GROUP OF PEOPLE TOGETHER TO GO ON JUNE 7TH TO THIS MEETING.THIS MAY NOT BE OUR HOME TOWN,BUT ITS REAL

CLOSE! AN WHAT THEY DO MIGHT MAKE OUR CITY DO THE SAME!!!

FREE THE WEED !!
