fatguy420
Hello everyone, My issues right now is i have no insurance and cant afford it. A few months ago i got laid off and now im on UI. I got laid off mainly for my leg and back. I never called off or nothing but instead of standing i sat for a few mins here and there. i was a bouncer at a club. my issues started when i was 14 years old i destroyed some ligaments in my knee from a bad soccer accident. after that things got worst i was diagnosed with osgoodslaughter disease in my leg and then i was diagnosed with arthritis in the same knee and ankle. My legs has been through a lot over the years and its getting worst and worst. When i used to go to the doc when i had insurance { 6 years ago } it was the same crap " well there's nothing we can really do, Here's some vics and naproxens". well i told them over and over i don't take pain killers specially vics i dont want to be addicted and it makes me on the edge, and i get sick feeling. so i quit going plus my insurance expired. I don't have the extra money for insurance to go there and here the same crap! so i want to get my card to smoke legally.. its the only thing that helps. grant it, it doesn't take all the pain away but reduces to the point were i can walk a little and look for a new job... plz help
drtarzanmd
" fatguy420 " to MMMA 2.0 Very Sorry to hear about your Situation... Best Suggestion i have for you is to try to make some Compassion Meetings in your Area ... They will help answer more personal questions... Secondly try all you can to gather up as much of your Medical Records as you can ... Most recent if all possible ... Thirdly your going to have to gather up some money to pay to get your Application signed ( $200 ) and the state charges $100 unless your on SSI or SSD ... Hope this helps some ? But in response to your questions, a truly compassionate doctor would take into account your lack of insurance and give you the options that might be most economical for the work up of your leg pain. You could probably save some costs on Xrays if you had earlier ones done that you might still be able to get your hands on. Sometimes Osgood Schlatters is diagnosed clinically, sometimes its done with the help of films. If your records are more than 10 years old, they may no longer be available. Some things are easily diagnosed on physical examination, if that is not true to your condition, then you could pursue getting newer records or simply a medical marijuana friendly doctor, who might be able to provide you with primary care as well. Arslan
I feel your pain, I have been walking around on a broken Fib for the last couple months. It is the second time I have broke it and still have metal in my leg from the first time it broke. It broke in a different spot basicly its split right down the side of my ankle (the bump on the outside of your ankle) I can move it with my finger it is quite gross. Here is a pic of the good side of my leg just a fractured Tib and ankle. I have no insurance and need to get the metal taken out of my leg and have another surgery to repair all the damage. I will not be doing any of that due to lack of insurance. bad situation all around my man I will now have a permanent limp. My meds will not be done for another 3 weeks so it is a unbearable wait. GL and stay safe.
