Jipo
I had the priveledge of meeting some very well versed greenthumbs the other night and I'm trying to find out more on the MDanzig autoflowering seeds. Just MSG me if you can help, I'd appreciate it, Thanks I'm not a huge fan of autos, but I do have 3, the only real reason I can see using them is planting them while you veg out your first set of mothers to get something to tide you over while you wait on the flowering cycle. Not really a productive plant in comparison to potency and yield though. You can grow a lot of strains in the same amount of time an autoflower will grow, and they will be more potent and yield more. Thanks for the feedback, I'm very new to the caregiver/grow scene so I'm open to any help or advice I can get from anyone...I appreeciate you taking the time to explain this as simple as it may seem. Jipo
Thanks for the feedback, I'm very new to the caregiver/grow scene so I'm open to any help or advice I can get from anyone...I appreeciate you taking the time to explain this as simple as it may seem. So what strains will flower in the same amount of time as an autoflower? Most autoflowers are 9-10 weeks from a seed, some are 8. A lot of strains are known for being around 8 week finishers, this would mean if you Vegged a plant for 2 weeks then put it into flower for 8 you would finish same rate as an autoflower. Getting an ounce or two off a plant is simple, beyond simple. Most autoflowers yield like a 1/4-1/2 ounce in that time frame. Also ideally if you're a caregiver you want a perpetual harvest, which means you have one room for a mother or two clones and vegging plants, a second room for flowering plants. The Veg room lights run 18 on 6 off always, the flower room is 12/12 always. If you had a 24 plant limit (2 patients) its a lot easier to do a perpetual then 1 patient (12 plants) Basically you want at least 1 mother plant, which you will be taking cuttings from its much easier then dealing with many seeds all the time, and you get the same product with every clone. So lets say you have 2 patients, and 2 mother plants and both strains finish in 8 weeks. 2 mothers leaves you with 22 plants. I would take 6 cuttings from each plant (total 12), begin to root them, they will root within 7-14 days. Take 3 of those now rooted clones and put them in the flowering room. Then wait 2 weeks, add 3 more plants to the flowering room, this week I would also take 5 more of each clones from the mothers and begin rooting them so now your at your total plant count. 2 mothers 3 flowering plants 9 vegging plants 10 rooting clones. Every other week you will add 3 plants until the 8th week. This week you will take 3 out to harvest, put 3 in to begin flowering and take 3 cuttings from your mother plants. so now we have 2 mothers 12 flowering plants 7 vegging plants 3 drying plants 3 rooting clones. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't count as plant count until roots develop I believe so you would still be within the limits, the drying plants will dry before the clones root, at that point the drying plants can be trimmed and put away to cure and won't count as plants, the 3 clones will fill there space. This setup will net you a nice 3 plant yield bi-weekly granted you have 8 week strains. But in reality you can set up a perpetual any way you find fit, 1 plant this week, 2 next, 1 the following. any combo works and it keeps you in a constant harvesting state. Some quick strains I recommend are Afghan #1 (or kush) heavy body high great for pain finishes 7-8 weeks. Early Girl (or queen) Fast finisher, good indica 6-8 weeks finish C99 is a nice 50-60 day finisher, sativa, contact Tricloud on here for info on getting a hold of it. DNA seeds connie chung is a great 8 weeker, heavy high, but 9-10 week strain Also most kush strains tend to be shorter nice 8 week strains Bubblegrower has a White Widow hybrid he's been breeding for 10 years or so that I believe he said finishes in about 50 days as well. porcupine
the law is 9/10 intent if your intent is for that cut to grow into a plant then you need to consider it a plant because you never know when that little white root is gona pop out. There is another school of thought that will have to be legislated on eventually. I believe if I am not mistaken, in the Michigan Agricultral Laws they state that a plant is is an organism that must have possesed cotyledons. A clone of a clone would never have had cotyledons so that clone technically is not a plant. It is a fine line but it can be argued I believe. I think this was also in the original MM law Michigan briefly had during the late 70's. I would still stay within the limits stated above until anything is clarified by a judicial ruling. CannabisPatient#1
the original MM law Michigan briefly had during the late 70's. Michigan had a medical marijuana law in the 70s? Please do tell more.
porcupine
Michigan had a medical marijuana law in the 70s? Please do tell more. I Don't really know much about it other than what I've seen posted on this original forum. I'll have to dig a bit. I was just beginning my journey with the wonderful herb around that time and didn't have a care about MM. I believe it was in effect for a year or less until the Reagan administration started the real war on herb. I am not sure if it was an actual law, or guidelines, or the right to assert a MM affirmative defense at state level, but we had something in place temporarily that was gotten rid of due to Federal pressure, or something along those lines. I think some of the current affirmative defense rules are partially based on what was in place at that time. Someone else may know something and can chime in sooner, but I will dig and see what I can find.
