We intend to discuss the topic of Medical Marihuana w/our planning commission on Wed, Aug 11th. The City accepts your proposal to provide an educational/informational overview for our planning commission at that meeting. I ask that you provide general information related to the Medical MJ law and its basic provisions with the primary focus of your presentation being land use as it pertains to the law. We are inviting additional presenters, to include a state-approved medical practitioner who certifies caregivers, a representative (Mr. Casey Long) of a medical marihuana advocacy group, and a law enforcement representative.

 

Please contact Diane Schmidt, our City Clerk, or me to coordinate the details, e.g., equipment or administrative needs, length of your presentation, etc.

 

The meeting is currently scheduled to be held @ Clare City Hall, 202 West Fifth Street, but we may move it to a larger location dependent upon the public response & interest we receive; the meeting commences @ 6:30pm and will be publicly noticed.

Yeah I already know of those lawyers. Thank you though. I'm not sure if it's really in driving distance for them. CCCC still has a meeting before the City Comission meeting. We have plenty of time to plan what will be said and who will be saying it.

You can bet your bottom dollar I'll be speaking my friend. I'm just trying to get as many presenters as possible. If it's just me so be it. But the more people we have the better.

 

At our next CCCC meeting we'll be spending time setting up my presentation. As well as the presentation of anyone else that would like to speak.
