Cards(Can Another Dr. Take It Away?)

Recommended Posts

If a Dr. signed your ap, Can another Dr. that doesnt agree or what ever,Can they leagal force you to give them(DR.) your card? Can they leagal accept possesion of a patient cards?

Absolutely not.! They can no more force you to give them your card than they could force you to hand over all past prescription slips signed by your former doctor. Now, if they disagree with your medical marijuana use, they can certainly advise you to stop taking it and refuse to continue treating you if you disregard their directives. Also, if they know you're a medical marijuana patient, they may request a COPY of your card to prove that you are legal, but they can't simply confiscate your card.

Has this happened to you? If so, please provide some details so that we can let the community know what is going on.

OLNY YOUR DR CAN TAKE IT AWAY IF HE FEELS YOU NO LONGER HAVE A MEDICAL NEED NO OTHER CAN.

That would be the doctor that signed it to begin with.

IF IF IF your doctor wanted to do that, he would have to start out with your ID number.\

Best answer if they ask for your card "I forgot it at home."

No number no problem.

Sounds like a law suit to me! No only the doctor who issued the recommendation and even he better have a good reason! I don't offer my card or info to any of my doctors because of the fact most of my doctors have close ties to the drug reps....and the fact they just don't believe MM can or will replace pills in some cases.

It's time for the folks who were asked to turn over their cards to threaten them with a law suit. No one - REPEAT NO ONE - has that kind of power over anyone in this state...who the hell do these guys think they are? :growl::angry: :jipo:

I was a good patient according to my old Dr. and they kicked me out cause i wouldnt give mine up.

I would really try to file a complaint with the state. If that fails I would put an ad in the local paper and find the patients who surrendered their cards and then call the American Civil Liberties Union http://www.aclu.org/ and see if they will take your case. Your civil rights are being violated. There seems to be a huge movement up north to stop all MM patients and caregivers. his needs to be stopped!!!
