HOWELL, MI (Associated Press) -

Police have discovered more than 500 marijuana plants during a two-day helicopter search in Livingston County.

Lt. Philip Menna, acting supervisor of the Livingston and Washtenaw Narcotics Enforcement Team, said the search conducted Monday and Tuesday revealed plants that could produce up to a pound of marijuana, with a street value of $800 to $1,000.

Menna did not immediately know how many people could face charges. He tells the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus that charges could be authorized after the Michigan State Police Northville Crime Lab analyzes the suspected marijuana .

The investigation was part of the department's Help Eliminate Marijuana Planting program. Operation HEMP is the state's eradication-and-suppression program for pot.

So what does this "mean" exactly, when they say 'a two day search- 500 plants'??? Is that 12 plants at a time, write down the address, move on. Wash, rinse, repeat? Or is this One grow, netting 500 plants? There is always an inflated number whenever any of these happen, but I'm wondering now if they are counting plots of 12 or less, in a locked enclosure of course, or if it's just one big field... But if it's just one big field, why the hell would it take them 2 fricken days with a Helo to find it? What a joke!

im not sure if its still the same i think the medical law in oakland cali allows for up to 99 plants outdoors... bunny muffin that could have been one persons legal grow.

probably a couple associated guerilla grows though... but yeah at 800-1000 per lb.... could they tell it was gonna be mersh? lots of males and therefore seeds and low resin production? must not have been a well kept garden. just a hasty seed spread type guerilla grow. probably mexican immigrants, deep in the forests. now i want a taco.
