My Current "hempy Bucket" Grow

It's been a long road, with many problems and a lot of stress for the girls...!!! But everything is now running smoothly and the girls are very happy.

When I started this grow I figured I'd have the rooms finished by the time these plants were ready to flower. WRONG...!!! Since I still have to work to earn a living things took way longer than expected. By the time I had the first room completed, the girls were already about 4' tall. So I set about tying them down to reduce their height. I performed major work on them and continued throughout entire cycle. Plants are now on day 35 of 12/12, and over 7' tall. If I had not done any training they would be about 10' tall by now. I fought temps over 98 degrees, and humidity @ 80%, for more time than I like to admit. The weather outside over the past couple of months didn't help the situation.

I'm growing in "Hempys" this time around, but I am putting together a RDWC system for the next go around.

I currently have 12 beautiful ladies under four 1000w HPS, with "Blockbuster 8" reflectors". Lights are vented and exhausted outdoors with 8" 740cfm VORTEX blower. I can hold my hand on the reflector glass indefinitely and not feel any heat. Two AC units in room, along with three fans to circulate air, and "Phresh" carbon filter to scrub the room. Dehumidifier runs as needed. I also inject C02, with monitor and controller, and right now I'm keeping PPM around 1700. With the C02 I keep the room temp around 90-92 degrees. No adverse effects.

I started these from seeds I've had for a couple of years, and out of 13 plants there was only one male.

Strains are:

  • Fighting Buddha
  • Mental Floss
  • Schnazzleberry No.2
  • C-Plus
  • C4

I've used GH nutes, along with some cal-mag and superthrive at times as needed. Now at 35 days in flower I'm feeding GH three part @ 20-40-65 for every 5 gallons. Plus a small amount of Cha-Ching.

These 12 girls are drinking 5 gallons every morning, and 5 gallons before bedtime.

Questions....????? Ask away.

Anyway, on with the show.........

Very good job! Nice to see a complete grow room setup like this.

Only neg. I can say is your suppose to staple electrical wires within 8" from a box. Sorry its the electrician in me. :)

Yes I know about stapleing. I have to re-do some outlets, and I intend to staple. Wiring you see in pics has not been covered on both sides with drywall yet.

Nice work HST :goodjob:

Am pulling up a chair to watch :camp:

Nice in that them Hempy's do not require electricity, good insurance to have a couple around.

Hempy's are okay for a few buckets, not for many. I'm feeding 12 buckets in one room, and 3 buckets in another room. Altogether they drink about 15 gallons a day. All hand watered.

My new system is DIY RDWC, and will basically run itself for the most part.

well done...and nice photos of your construction process. I'll bet you really could see the girls smiling after you got the reflective up and air-flow contained. Did you have heat problems once you enclosed the chamber or is it still partially open? If it is that could be your problem, not that it looks like you had any...but it helps when you have a tight enclosure and an external filtered intake(in the shade near the earth)

Yummy strains. Hope you are feeling much better now, I know you are.

My hempys are in 3.5 gallon pots and get watered every 2-4 days. I dont see why you would have to water every day either.

I have to water every morning and every night before lights out because they grew so big while I was under construction.

When I tip the bucket at feeding time no water comes out.

Still had heat issues, until I added a second AC unit. Now everything is great...!!!!!

Now my temps during lights on stay around 90*, and with the Co2 they love it.....
