What Kind Of High Is Most Appeciated?

I'm trying to decide on a few different strains to select for my first grow and I'm not sure how to go about picking them based on the type of high is achieved. I appeciate both weed that is a more day time sort of weed and allows you to function alright but there are also times when I love weed than can just make me zone out like crazy(gives my couch lock). I'm wondering what the majority of people like so that way when I become a caregiver I will have the right kind of weed.

Something I did with all of my patients is I explained the benefits of sativa, indica, thc, ect. and allowed them to choose the strains that they would like for their dozen plants. Another thing to keep in mind is space that you have, I have a patient that would love a 100% pure sativa, but I do not have the cielings to contain a plant like that. For that patient we went with a hybrid that carried the sativa cerebal high but followed the indica trait in growing charachteristics to keep them under control in the green room. There is no right answer as to what is right, I like a nice uplifting sativa with a high thc content for the morning to get me going and then a nice heavy indica to put me to sleep at night, everyone is different and make sure to have the right strains for your patients.

i understand what you are saying, but with like 5,000 strains out there, you will end up with about 5,000 answers :)

i think that after you get growing and get a few cycles under your belt, you will realize that grow methods and harvest time have every bit to do with effect as strain.

the same strain can be harvested at 2 different times and give a completely different effect. find a decent yielding hybrid strain and harvest at 75% cloudy trichs. then take that same strain and havest at 75% amber trichs.

could mean the difference between cocaine and morphine........ that dramatic. just depends on strain.

I have an ok understanding about trich development I was just wondering if most people use the couch lock more narcotic high for meds or the more the more uplifting one. I realize that both are probably used but I mean is one used more than the other to medicate

i assume you are a patient yourself?? just judging by the way your original post is worded.

anyways, i'd be more concerned with just getting a couple "big name" strains like a cheese or a diesel.......... or get whatever YOU want for yourself.

get the grow thing down, get with perspective patients and find out what THEY want. after signing them on, you will have some of your own meds to share with them while you grow theirs out.

an understanding patient is going to know that you can't always have his/her favorite strains right off the bat...... but as long as you have SOME meds for them...... they'll understand :)

The way I decided was by going to dispensaries and trying out different strains. Eventually you'll find something that you really like and you'll wanna grow it. But before you decide and buy your strains, I would do a little research on grow characteristics, flower time and average yield/sq. foot then go from there.

See there you have stumbled upon my fav reason for hating dispensaries. when i walk in and i get ak 48, i walk in a week later and get ak 47.... but they are both the same thing. a lot of people will market a product to you, to get you to buy it. I can get a chunk of (A) and i just love it works just fine for me....little do i know its really (b) so i spend 200 bucks on seeds spend the next 4 months growing out a ton of (A) and all it doesnt is make me paranoid. but the important thing is the guy at the disp lied to me to get me to buy a 25 dollar a gram dream. no thanks. disp are only safe if u consider it generic meds.

Most people in the business for profit are not concerned about genetics,as long as they have a popular named strain.

Imo a lot of peeps have no idea what genetics they really have.I have seen someone offering "Couchlock" clones that were obviously not Couchlock.

Do your homework when it comes to genetics, when in doubt i google it.

Basically 2 strains of sativa 2 strains of indica work nicely

... alternate sativa strains for daytime

And alternate indica strains at night

That way tolerance doesnt keep up as well...more interesting also

The sativas are the best in my opinion but indica is needed to get off that ride at the end of the day or you might pull an all nighter designing a home made hot tub or some other ambitious project requiring blueprints

Yep ...balance is important but I think keeping both as close to 100% indica or sativa is good ...and use both

A 50/50 is useful too....Maybe 2 sativas/ 2 indies/and a 50/50

That should cover your bases

This is all just me...If you have a serious illness in anyway you shoulkd be on simpson oil for 3 months period...well we all should...but if you are really battling something debilitating or life threating...get on simpson oil asap 3 months Then maintain it once or twice a week along with smoke/vapor

Believe it or not I really dont want to be "messed up"

I like clear headed happy up weed

And I like a knock down indica at night...

Some folks may need heavy indies during the day or a 60/40

There are about a zillion possiblities! :D

I guess the answer would be different for everyone.

Some people aren't very active because of their debilitating disease on the other hand a lot of employed people have to still be very active up until bedtime .

Myself after 9PM i prefer indicas that give you a nice deep warm medicated feeling but if its early in the day i prefer not to get so medicated if I'm out dealing with the public so then a nice sativa is the ticket.

Thats is wat i need to do... find a strain that suites me!!! i have P.T.S.D. and anxiety really bad from 2 tours over in the sandbox. Alot of the stuff around me is brick weed, and 90% of the time i get paranoid as hell!!! any advise for me anyone???? thanks guys!!!

Thank you for your service :goodjob: Others may be able to help you more, but something indica dominant should do the trick. Sativas give you a racy heady feeling that can bring on paranoia. (never experienced this, but Ive seen it in others before) I love sativas for daytime. But indicas are great to relax and usually have a soothing feeling for me, opposite of paranoia. :thumbsu: good luck finding your medicine! I use a kush strain for my indica. They are very potent, but usually calming and relaxing.
