Southern Michigan Cool?

We are moving to Michigan soon to grow and medicate in peace. We don't know what local climate is like with regards to city, county, state authorities and their tendancies to go on witch hunts now and then. Can you tell me what you know about the Blissfield/Deerfield area, and or Adrian or Hillsdale? I mean, some localities seem harsh, while others are supportive or nuetral. That is what we need to know before we shop for a house/apartment. Plese tell us what you can about these very southern city.

 

Example: Stay out of jasper...the Sherriff is a real hater.

Example: We live near Deerfield and can tell you that the law enforcement here leaves us be and actually watch out for us.

I currently live in Addison. They just recently opened up a dispensary in Adrian, which I was glad to see. I just joined one in Ann Arbor and that one seemed like a really nice place. It was on the second floor with no elevator though, so I don't know how anyone with a wheelchair would get up there. I only plan to use it to sell any overages there though. My dad is a retired Sheriff Deputy and we have a few guys who come out to my little farm here to use our woods to hunt in. I even gave them keys to my barn because it is heated so they could prepare their hunting stuff in the warm. Though I do have my rooms secured inside the barn. Some of the guys are deputies and some are police and firemen. I even have a Detective Sargent coming out and they all like my grow rooms. I am not sure of the rest of the area force, but for most part I see a general tolerance as long as you are legal. I am happy here. They even drive by patrol my place, so I feel pretty safe about not being broken into. Welcome to the area. Zeke

Nothing against the oakland county area, I grew up there, it is a beautiful place. It is just the sherrif department and prosecutor that worries me.

If the Republicants win big in the upcoming election you may not find the peace you seek, anywhere in Michigan. It is an unfortunate fact that we may all suffer the horrors of another Republican(t) regime, with all of the associated stress that living under their rule can bring...

Calhoun county has been cool and is pretty low cost of living. It is more rural than Ann Arbor which is also a good area if you like the bigger city. The good thing about Calhoun is you are about one hour drive to anything. Museums in Gran Rapids, Lake Michigan, and Ann Arbor is an hour or less drive away. There are three dispensaries/clubs in Battle Creek. And a big Casino that has outdoor concerts during the summer. All in all it sucks much less now than it did just three years ago.

Hey Zeke! Thank you for putting the word out about my establishment Anyways, to answer your question, I live in Adrian and I honestly like it. I think it's peaceful here If you DO decide to move to this neck of the woods stop by and see me!
