I talked to John Moolenaar. Asked him what he thought of Medical Marijuana. Against it. Asked him if he had talked to any Patients. Said no.

 

Told him he was talking to one. Seemed surprised. Told him my situation. Back surgery. Not wanting to rely on pain pills and/or muscle relaxers.

 

Said he never looked at it in that light. My guess is that most Republicans vote against it, just because.... no real reason. Stuck on Reefer Madness.

 

My point: We need to keep our message and faces out there. We need to continue to make the point that it is our right to choose between pills and MMJ.

 

Our bodies, our right to choose. We have to live with our broken bodies, we should know what works better. How dare they even try to make that choice for me !!

Having a "schutte wwatch thread" is a very good idea. We also have to know exactly where we stand, what dems we still have, things like that. I'm scared too. I'm so frazzled, this is exactly what I didn't need, but all my life that's mostly what I get, everything I don't need, and very little of what would help me. I'm crumbling from the inside out. Not everyone can keep fighting. I hope someone somewhere has been planning in case the worst happens, and has something solid we can work together on, that isn't available to our opponents to see. Nothing I can do will ease the pain of how I feel now, not MM or anything else, it's way too deep, been hurting for far too long. Maybe that forgery thingy will be effective. All I know is I did my best, and so did all of you. We fought honestly and peacefully, stayed within the law, asserting our rights, not asking for anything unreasonable. A good lawyer can help us find out exactly what our opeions are now. Peace.

Our middle class that people loved in the 50's was created by good paying union jobs. That is why our grandparents could afford lots of kids, and mom stayed home to raise them. Impossible today.

Any economist will tell you that in the time of such low interest rates, it is the only way to get an economy running. If you don't spend money on roads, infrastructure, innovation, we will only go down. When the economy improves, the money comes back. Just look at past depressions, it is something that has to be done. You can't just let it go down, if we did what they wanted, gm chrysler would have failed, losing millions more jobs, and the unemployment rate would be more like 18%

 

Another tactic they use is outright LIES and repeat the same thing over & over again. If they are called on it, they just say it is the liberal media, so their faithful followers will believe it. In the state of Michigan, we are indeed forced to buy auto insurance, but be reminded this is a STATE law, not a federal law!! There are states that do not have automobile insurance requirements. I do believe there is a HUGE difference, its not even comparable. In an automobile accident, there may be many people involved, not just yourself, thus the need. Whether I have heathcare or not effects ME alone. I do not get state insurance, nor when available, do I opt into employers insurances that I pay huge premiums for. There is not a dang person that pays my medical bills but MYSELF. I think what it boils down to is one less thing we have a CHOICE on. now he has the power to make or break anything he wants... as the head law officer now he decides he does not like our law or any law for that matter doesnt have to be our law... he voices his intent and can learn who opposes him... now he knows who is opposing his wants... he now can go out and find issue from who oppose him we all have skeletons then uses threats to get his way over those who oppose him... this is the head leo remember... once he has that now he can get the 3/4 vote to over ride... he now has the law revoked... i know simplistic but this is a thought... we all know politics are about media and how much dirt to cause shame to win votes... or just as simple it is to buy now days what you want or need... with the over turned law he now can use the list to hunt us down...
