Sir Budlee
I am wondering why some plant leaves will have seven "lobes" and others will have 9 or 6 or 5.
just_speakin_my_mind
Depends on the strain (genetics) and age of the plant-- many young-uns start with 5 then get more as they age.... some clones will have single or triples!!! They USUALLY outgrow it-- though we had a sharksbreath once that stayed that way thru her grow-- unfortunately, her clones out-grew it. Would have been a GREAT outdoor plant! LMAO! Nemosity
The more indica traits shown in leaves will have less lobes, while a more or pure sativa will have more. Indica's trait leaves are wide, while sativa's are more slender. You can also run into mutant crazy leaves when a clone is taken from a plant that is already flowering. Forcing the clone back into veg causes crazy growth, single leaf and all sorts of craziness.
Sir Budlee
Thanks, very interesting indeed. The flowers don't seem to mind how many lobes the leaves have
