Traveling To Michigan

I'm traveling to Michigan soon and wanted to find out more about medical marijuana. However, I had trouble finding a basic FAQ about what the laws were, how you become a patient, whether you NEED to be registered to purchase medial marijuana and so on.

 

Is there a basic guide on what the requirements and options are somewhere that I'm just not seeing? If not, can someone just outline some of the basics?
