FloridityNow
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities on Sunday charged a 22-year-old man described as a pot-smoking loner with trying to assassinate Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killing others at a political event, revealing that he had scrawled on an envelope the words "my assassination" and "Giffords." Here we go. +EdwardGlen
He also drank alcohol, smoked cigarettes, and nursed at his mother's teet...blah..blah..blah..his mentally disturbed and yet the main stream media wants to put the blame or at least try to on cannabis. Maybe if cannabis was legal in this country and he had access to the correct strain then maybe JUST MAYBE this would not of happened. I guess we'll never know. MightyMightyMezz
He was also a "conspiracy theorist." I suspect this is a Manchurian Candidate style setup designed to cast conspiracy knowledge as a form of mental illness.
Frank R
There are too many itchy fingers on too many slippery triggers in this great nation of ours. Fear and loathing are communicable diseases, and there has been a lot of open-mouth kissing going on by certain lascivious political agents: Edited January 10, 2011 by Frank R
Southern Cross
I bet he drank beers 2 Every report I've seen on TV or read in the Newz makes sure they sound the alarm that this guy smoked pot. You have to read down to the 20th paragraph of an article to find mention of this: "For a time, Loughner drank heavily, to the point of poisoning himself, the friends said. Once, during school lunch break as a junior, he downed so much tequila that he came back to class, within five minutes passed out cold, had to be rushed to the hospital and "almost died," one friend said." But of course the brain damage from alcohol poisoning couldn't have anything to do with it. It must have been the pot.

I kinda have to agree with that "correct strain" theory. I have noticed a great difference in anxiety levels caused by different strains. White Widow causes anxiety in me while Free Leonard causes much mellowness. For others I know, the exact opposite is true. Go figure. FloridityNow
He was also a "conspiracy theorist." I suspect this is a Manchurian Candidate style setup designed to cast conspiracy knowledge as a form of mental illness. I noticed that, too. Anything but independently owned, the "lamestream" media is always creating new myths and identities for America in support of the status quo. Noam Chomsky describes it better than I can, but basically what you have is media acting as a conduit for itself and for a corporate controlled government rather than a media acting as a conduit for the people. The demonization of Julian Assange I think demonstrates this relationship. That case also having a notable Michigan connection: http://www.michaelmo...ting-bail-money
