freemannabis
Not so "new," news, sad as it is; But, the headlines sure "tell it like it is". "On Wednesday authorities in Michigan raided robbed a medical marijuana complex in Oak Park in full SWAT style. Why do I say robbed? Cops don’t rob people, right? Well, let’s look at the facts." http://the420times.com/2011/01/authorities-rob-michigan-medical-marijuana-complex/ Authorities Rob Michigan Medical Marijuana Complex On Wednesday authorities in Michigan raided robbed a medical marijuana complex in Oak Park in full SWAT style. Why do I say robbed? Cops don’t rob people, right? Well, let’s look at the facts. Sheriff’s deputies raided a building which housed Michigan Medical Marijuana Magazine, a compassion club, and a hydro shop. No one was arrested during this raid, but police confiscated some $20,000 in cash from the business, “as well as from the wallets of the employees and patients.” But why? Under state drug forfeiture laws, the sheriff gets about 80-percent of the money seized and the remainder goes to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office. Oh, seriously? How is this not a plain and simple robbery? Just because they had badges gives them the right to rob people who have not even been accused of breaking a law? The outrageousness of this knows no bounds. To bust in somewhere with bullet-proof vests on and take money from the wallet of someone who has done nothing illegal at gunpoint is THEFT, LARCENY, ROBBERY, whatever word you want to use. The cops in Michigan are completely out of control. Instead of busting real criminals they are busy robbing legal medical marijuana patients; sick people who are buying medicine legally under state law have money taken from their wallets by officers of the law. Absolutely pathetic. These people should feel ashamed of their professions as “peace officers.” They are criminals, no better than a common gang thug. Mod Copied & Paste FREE The CURE!
