+EdwardGlen
Sitting here and watching the news on channel 4 and they are talking about the Officer in Livonia who was killed in the line of duty while breaking up a home invasion. Well..they reported the two crooks are believed to have been on a two year crime spree in several communities and broke into between 40 - 60 homes and the police suspected this. If the police suspected this for two years why would they wait so long to try and catch the guys. Why would you let criminals continue to steal? They (LEO) never in two years did any surveillance on them or even approached them until the day of the shooting even thou they suspected them? Police got a tip about a house they might hit after an acquaintance of theirs a women sold items from a previous break in. So in two years the police never got a tip, staked out pawn shops, or approached or watched the subjects. I am missing something or is there a huge break down in investigative skills and practices that may have cost an Officer his life. My sympathy's to the family and friends of Police Officer Larry Nehasil Peace Edited January 20, 2011 by EdwardGlen
Bisharoo
I feel sadness for this life lost and this family shattered. However, if 1 minute or 1 dollar was spent by these departments trying to capture sick marijuana patients, then shame on those departments for diverting resources away from making a safe community and towards revenue enhancement. I sure would like to see all the numbers on money and time and resources spent on chasing peaceful folks while violent ones have more room to work. Just a thought. Peace to the families and friends of the deceased officer.
thanks2
It is very sad. Both the loss of life and the lack of investigation. Imagine what could be done to stop crime if just the $300+ million the Feds give Michigan for marijuana eradication was used to stop gangs, home invasions, robberies, and other violent activity. But instead they make a huge straw man argument on why drugs are priority number one.

The best we could do as a community is get our sundays best on and show support to his family and co workers! No signs, no literature passed out, maybe a lil button(on our collars) and show our respect in huge numbers, our best manners, and show these people we are normal, we would love to have police protection verses persecution! Peace FTW Jim

Wayne'sWorld
My sympathies to the officer's family. How tragic. Link please? Just wondering if this was, or should have been, done by the narco-terrorist squads? Just some uniformed officer's on a routine arrest? We're they provided adequate safety measures under the known circumstances? Granted these weren't cannabis terrorist's, living in their homes, paying taxes, requiring SWAT intervention to apprehend. I'm just saying............
