A local judge spends $2K on clothing, how else is she spending your money?

Is Inkster Judge Sylvia James out of order?

Here is the link to this story: LINK TO STORY

There is also a story on the Channel 7 website about her 2 Deputies have been charges with felonies for taking things from the Court Computer.

It may the season to start removing some of these greedy, megalomaniacs, who are on their own Power trip.

If anyone lives in Inskter they are very familiar with this Court and the Local Twilight Zone procedure.

In August 2007 this Judge walked through airport security; with a gun; a loaded gun; in her carry-on bag. Ultimately a prosecutor chose not to charge her; [or dismissed a pending charge? not sure which]; pros. claimed they "couldn't prove she knew the gun was loaded."

A Judge with a loaded gun in the airport.

INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) - She’s a local judge who rules her courtroom with an iron fist. If you don’t wear the right clothes she’s been known to kick you out of court. Never mind being minutes late, you won’t get in to see her. And though Judge Sylvia James—Inkster’s only judge—demands everyone to follow her rules, city officials say she refuses to follow their's—going so far as to keep secret what she does with millions of tax-payer money.

It’s been a months-long heavy weight fight between Judge James and Inkster’s mayor, council, and treasurer. They say the judge won’t tell them how she spends $2 million the court collects annually. They also complain that the judge has been late to turn over court proceeds to the city—making it impossible for the city council to plan the budget.

And get this: Though the city denied the judge’s request for a clothing and gun allowance—Judge James paid herself $1950 with the court’s money.

But the latest dispute is over the court’s bank accounts. The judge has refused to have them audited for years. When the council voted unanimously to have the city manager and treasurer added to the accounts, she closed them and moved about a quarter of a million dollars to another bank that only Judge James can access.

Action News Investigator Bill Proctor questioned the judge about it: “The issue for some people is transparency and accountability. When you pulled that money out that seemed to go away.”

Judge James insists it can be done: “You see there is a letter from the regional court administrator that it could be done…”

Action News asked the judge if we could see review the accounts, but has yet to respond.

WATCH BILL PROCTOR'S INVESTIGATION TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, ON ACTION NEWS AT 11.

People like this need to be treated the same way Oakland county treats patients with masked men with guns. See how they like it. They think they are above the law. THEY ARE NOT. I can onl;y imagine what goes in the City of Detroit......

Refusing audits!

Who does this judge think she is a Chinese sub-tier supplier...

Says something about the character of the electorate when corruption is identified, but continues to be institutionalized.

Time and time again Americans have shown they want more to be a part of the corruption than to end the corruption :horse:

Is she elected or appointed to her judgeship?

There is a way to deal with both of those situations.

But there HAS to be some reason why the 'city' officials do not deal more harshly with this judge.

Could it be that they, also are doing some things that the judge might use against them.

Because, we all know that when these judges and politicians start turning rocks over, it always shows up that they were ALL doing something either illegal or unethical.

Kind of like getting one police officer to arrest another one... just doesn't happen... not that it shouldn't happen.
