Washington Township's medical marijuana ordinance will limit the number of caregivers that can join together in a single house for the purpose of dispensing the drug.

Washington trustees approved the ordinance, 6-1, Feb. 16 that will allow one caregiver per house to grow up to 12 plants for each patient. State law allows each caregiver to provide medical marijuana to a maximum of five patients.

The limit on the caregiver per household was a way for the township to avoid large compassion centers from cropping up. A compassion center is a group of primary caregivers who band together to grow medical marijuana.

How can they stop a husband and wife who are both caregivers?

 

Washington Twp seems to be full of themselves. I hope some couple files a lawsuit against them!
