It was reported to a teacher, who contacted Principal Mark Erickson, who then contacted Owosso superintendent Dr. Andrea Tuttle. She immediately contacted law enforcement who identified the student was in possession of a “burnt paper and remnants of a marijuana stem.”

According to Michael Rau, deputy director of police, the amount is likely not enough to be tested.

It all part of Walmart's "See Something, Say Something" campaign.

Which means if you think maybe you heard somebody say they may have seen something, well then, roll up that ball of hearsay and submit it to the AUTHORITIES.
