Macomb Inspections For Caregivers?

A fellow caregiver confided in me today that the state had contacted him to setup an inspection. They knew of his patient and caregiver status and knew his 5 patient names. They gave him 1 week notice before the inspection. Has anyone else had this occur? my first thought was maybe a trap with the info stolen from raids, but is this legit?

Tell him to contact an attorney. I could only find one Macomb County ordinance that might restrict a caregiver, in Washington Twp.

I might schedule the appointment for an inspection, and have my lawyer there when the goon squad shows up to tell them to go directly (back) to hell!

It was a phone call from the state, i agree, its highly suspect.

More information is needed here. Was the letter from the state, county or township? How did they get all that information? Inspections of caregivers is not allowed. Something smells. Tell your friend to find a lawyer, fast. Like Brad said.

It was a phone call, but why would the STATE set up an inspection for a county issue? The State doesn't do ordinance inspections. Something is fishy, and if it were me, I would make sure I was 100% legal, and call either the cops to be there, or something.

Maybe call the county and ask to reschedule the inspection. If they say, "What inspection are you talking about", get all of your loved ones (and plants) out of the house and get ready for rippers showing up. Tear down your grow room, and have 1 400w light and 1 2" tall plant available for them to inspect. And when they ask how you supply 5 pt's with 1 tiny plant, just say that the lord works in mysterious ways, this is all I have to show you.

Once again, the State would not be doing an inspection for a county ordinance, and the state doesn't do inspections for MMJ... Call a lawyer, and call the state to reschedule, I bet money they will have no idea what you are talking about.

Besides, how would they know (the state) if the MDCH didn't share information, which is illegal in the first place, unless he registered his grow.

I'd be ready when they came, lawyer, LEO, something, and call in, I can't stress that enough, call back the state, adn don't use a number they provided, call into who you should and say you need to change your appointment. Get the number from the website, and go that route.

The state called Hmmm... State police? State who? Some one is playing on his fears, because he may have pissed someone off, or just a prank. If someone does show up (w/out LEO escort) don't let them in and call LEO (DO NOT LET THEM IN). Handle every thing out side your locked doors. Just be prepared and legal, no fear(less any how). No warrant no enter, IMO no definition for why or what, not singed by judge, not valid

Sounds like a Conservative political action committee con game.

I bet they "got" a hold of MMJ Patient data from "Gov/LEO insiders", and are beginning a campaign of harassment.

Kind of like that Pimp they sent to Acorn, and look at what happened to them.

For what its worth, I'm in Macomb County and I have 5 patients, and I have NOT recieved a phone call of this sorts. I will keep an eye on this thread, however I did have a police officer sitting outside of my apartment last night. I think it was un related tho becasue I live in an apartment and 3 dodge chargers were stolen from my buildings parking lot last week at the same time so there has been a lot of police around here lately, making me very uneasy doing P2P even with my own registered patients

That bLows hemp, You have seen what paranoia does to MM pt/cg's, The only way they could have gained access, is through seized records from theses dispensaries..

I dunno, you have the lawyers number That I would provide you already I'm sure... What makes me so uneasy is this was Macomb County saying all this? seems weird after going through court and watching how they handle MM cases, seems like a Oakland county move?

I dunno keep me informed, you have my number call me up if you need anything bud..

Did you record the number they called from? Does it go back to a 'state agency' or 'State of Michigan'? Or was it a private number or 'restricted'. Did you confirm your status to them? Perhaps in addition to a lawyer, you should have the police with you and if they turn out to be other than a state official, they can be taken into custody.

Totally bogus story. The State can't say those things(patient names) over the phone. And since only this caregiver would know all those names he is lying. The only other answer is a person who knows all his patients names is pulling his chain. In that case, his list of suspects should be very short, one would hope.
