Leelanau To Host Session On Medical Mj. Act

SUTTONS BAY — The Leelanau County Planning Commission will host the event to provide a thorough examination of the medical marijuana statute and options for communities confronted with regulating the budding industry. To date, Elmwood Township is the lone Leelanau community to permit a medical marijuana business.

 

What: Workshop on Michigan Medical Marijuana Act

 

When: Monday, 6:30 p.m.

 

Where: Leelanau County Government Center in Suttons Bay

Kip Belcher, Traverse Narcotics Team; Jay Kilpatrick, senior consultant at Grand Rapids-based Williams & Works and consulting planner for East Bay Township; Anne McClorey McLaughlin, attorney with Johnson, Rosati, LaBarge, Aseltyine & Field; Timothy Wilhelm, attorney with Johnson, Rosati, LaBarge, Aseltyine & Field.
