It's for entertainment. Palin opened herself up to this when she allowed her life to become a reality TV show (from which she has benefited most handsomely). She wants press coverage in order to make money. She has become the political equivalent of a Paris Hilton. Palin is on the front page because Americans suck this stuff up like a drug. If the public wasn't interested in Sarah Palin she would be tossed into the dustbin of history faster than you could kick an errant cat turd off your garden path.
