Kingdiamond
The politicians are doing this not to protect the "kids" but to ensure law enforcement has people to fill those empty beds in the new prisons Schuette wants to build because all this is going to do is make the black market cannabis market flourish and fill up the courts which it doesn't take a scholar to see why now legal or not they can charge you with deliver manufacturing and take your cars your bank accounts and your homes . I'm actively looking into moving away from this police state Ive lived here for 47 years now I'm fed up and sick and tired of being made to look like a criminal. TajMahal
Unbelievable, censorship, denying a certain class of citizens their freedom of speech, right to exist,. Them goons are Nazi's through and through to the core, what they gonna do next, round up the Jews again? They need to be tried in a court of real law for high treason. Morhawk
I don't see business cards on that list.. :-) Also, looks like the patient could still "advertise" and a potential caregiver could contact them privately. Although, word of mouth has always been the best advertisement anyway. heck, I haven't even started for my first patient yet (days away from 21 days) and could have filled my other 4 allotment a couple of times by now. sho
But what about a new patient, like the guy on Greentree's show tonight where I brought this up, who never smoked before MM came about and decided to try it now that he could do it legally. Whose a person like that to go to if they can't post on a message board or club flyers, whatever... I mean, start asking around, but where to start even getting meds without a CG without sites like these? Now you can't advertise MM available? So my caregiver can't post on my Facebook that the Bubbleicious is delicious and just finished curing? It'd advertise that there's meds available... And 1 year in jail is a bit steep for this! purklize
they left out by smoke signals and telegraph so we're not totally fecked! I'll definitely be moving to California if this crap passes, I refuse to go without my medicine now that it has helped me get off steroid eczema drugs. skipper1963
Good morning, What next I wonder? Everyday something new happens. It makes you wonder if these guys have a life other than harassing sick or disabled people. Or the folks that said would take care of them and grow for them. Don't they have a home life? One that is fulfilling? Do they really have to make everyone's life as miserable as theirs? I haven't been legal very long and it was my daughter's idea to check into MMJ. It took me months to get qualified and see a doctor. It wasn't something that happened overnight. In a letter I wrote I said, "I don't dread waking up in the morning and my days look brighter." Because I am not in so much pain. I just wonder where all this is going to take us. Our government seems to not care what it is doing to the people of Michigan. It is not following the direction of the people, the "will" of the people. It's mowing right over top of us. The Great State of Michigan is losing some of its' great citizens because of the lawmakers in our state. Moving out of Michigan will be the answer for some but for the rest of us we will have to continue down the path we are on right now. Before we go to bed at night we will have to adopt a "wait and see" attitude in case some new law comes out the next day. It's depressing and sad. What will those pesky little ferrets think of next? kruztydj
We need to give up protesting at the state house and start protesting each one at their houses so their kids ask why are all these folks outside our house shouting. Keep protesting till mama starts pounding brains into theses brainless asses. In the ol days we'd just tared and feathered the muffin makers...... +EdwardGlen
we can make the changes needed with our voices, votes, and community. We have patients who will never be able to leave this state for one reason or another and to abandon them wouldn't be right. This piece of feces legislation is a blatant attempt at squashing the first amendment rights of CG and as a patient, I'll fight for all the rights of our caregivers. Frank R
Here we go again.... Elected officials wasting the tax payers precious dollars on hate-legislation. Elected officials working day and night on a non-issues, on imaginary threats to the citizens of Michigan, on an issues that has had no impact on the populace. I have, and will kindly suggest that these elected officials work on the following: 1. Jobs 2. Unfair labor practices (less wages for women=less taxable income for the state) 3. Sex Trafficking 4. Education 5. Infant mortality 6. Asian Carp mitigation strategy 7. Prison Reform Hmmm, I think I may have just outlined my own platform... CedarSpringsCG
It makes me sick to see people flee because of legislature that isn't in accordance with the will of the people. That isn't how our forefathers acted, it isn't how we were raised. Goerge Washington didn't say, of feck it, I'll just move to canada... No he changed the government. Once public opinion on slaves changed, we didn't allow the south to secede from the union, no we kicked their asses until they fell into line. (I know reality was much more political than that, but trying to keep it simple here to make a point). We need to do the same thing now. Sway public opinion and get Schuette and Snyder the feck out of office. Let's show them that there is no problem. Writers, get together and start flooding newspapers with op ed's. Instead of filling the newspapers with FUD (fear uncertainty and doubt) that they are now with the raid here and raid there, etc, let's fill it with letters and op ed's on how it is helping. Goal: One op ed or letter to the editor, or something in each paper across the state each week at LEAST, if not each day. Positive spins on our movement instead of all of the negative. Anyone brave enough to be interviewed on TV, DO IT! Retirees are the best option, because it can't hurt their careers anymore. But anyone can do it. And we don't just need interviews about how MMJ is helping us personally, we can talk about how it is helping the economy, how it is creating jobs, how it is revitilizing a state. Don't be negative and attack. Be positive, and talk about the good things. Once we get 80% of the people saying MMJ is a good thing, then when we try to do something like recall Snyder, it will be that much easier if 80% of the people think MMJ is good and not a problem, and Snyder is trying to take it away. It we sit on our laurels, nothing will be better. The grass is always greener on the other side. Move to CA or Oregon, you are going to face the same thing eventually until we CHANGE our government. BB for Governor... Frank R for State Senate! Cedar for Senate! Qtipper for state house! Michael Komorn for AG! If we filled the Government with us, we would be so much better off. BubbleBerryKush
Barbi and I are with you Bro! (As soon as they pay us!!) i'm with you both, the wife and i have been talking on moving as well. michigan has been a chithole since grandholm and it will never recover in our lifeime and the whole nazi police state thing and corrupt lawmakers.... they are making it perfectly clear we are not wanted here. i couldnt live with myself if my family was to be harmed in any way. i think by winter we will be moving, i'll know more in a few weeks, the wife is headed to california in aug to scope things out and visit our oldest. he's been there for a couple of years now and loves it... i'm lookin' more at oregon myself but pants over rule skirts so i'm guessing it's going to be california! I have been talking about leaving too....once I find an out of state job in a MM friendly state I am gone. The neighborhoods are going downhill unless you live in the high priced burbs or in the middle of no where. The political climate can be boiled down to white vs black and rich vs poor. No jobs, horrible home investments and bunny muffin weather.....yeah as a matter of fact I know I am going to leave....
Frank R
Appeasement and retreat wont protect you from these freedom thieves, their power and ranks grow ever time you drop your eyes and accept them as your master. You can't run back to the Shire. The Nazgul will surely follow...if they aren't there already... Its time to take a stand for freedom. See you Sept. 7th. Darkmatter
This is your home. Even if you allow them to run you off. You should at least kick their donkey on the way out. Stand up for yourselves. Take your case to the people. If you start running now, you will never stop running. See you on the 7th. Thanks, Bb I could not have put it better myself. We can not be forced out of our homes. I myself will be moving soon to a neighborhood with less gestapo. But I will not leave MI. All my friends are here. I have lived and worked here since I was 11. We need people to stand, not flee. Hide if you must, attack from the shadows if you can, survive, but please, do not flee.
garyfisher
I will not leave Michigan either. So what our legislature is telling us is that It's okay to advertise SEX on billboards all across the interstate in michigan. You guys know what I'm talking about. "oriental health spa - open 24 hours - truckers welcome" It's okay to advertise prostitution on craigslist. But they want to make it illegal to advertise a caregiver service.... +EdwardGlen
We're slowly gaining ground so they"re going to pile on a bunch of crap and see what sticks, its a "Frustration Gambit", piles of confusing offensive redundant legislation that no one, not even a Judge can decipher. Leaving the opponent (us in this case) scrambling to try and defend ourselves, getting angry and well...frustrated. I started e mailing, calling, and tweeting the Michigan Democratic party calling them out for not standing up to the GOP for these egregious bills and speak up for us. Well, the started responding on twitter to Schuette's over-reaching and the GOP as a party for attacking the medical cannabis community and law. Was is my prodding them is why they started to respond, hell yes! I don't know, I'd like to think so. But I can guarantee they start getting thousands of e mails, faxes, phone calls, and tweets, from voters asking why aren't they doing something and being reminded we do vote, they will get involved. And the Michigan Democratic party has been too quiet on many over-reaching policies that are being shoved through the legislature by the GOP. If they can't stop it, at least make a loud enough ruckus to let us know you oppose the legislation. WE VOTE! And we have to let BOTH parties know that can, and we will, make our voices and grievances heard and answered at the ballot box. I feel the same frustrations and apprehensions but we'll get through this together... Chronic
That law would put this Web site on the rocks, and any morons that advertise on Craigslist. Many cardholders brought this upon us, and are the cause of so much concern from the anti's. Flaunting it, makes everything bad. Many jumped on the band wagon to make a quick buck. Who was the sheriff who said "I don't care what the law says, its my county" Seriously alarming attitudes by our employees that need adjusting.
