I try to stay current on things going on there, yet this is the first Ive heard of this. Checked all local newspapers there, nada... Big story in the UK-BBC, Guardian, etc... and here.

Of course, however it also provided shade, probably helped to retain some moisture, too. The area was typically involved with growing tomatoes.

 

I did get confirmation that it's legitamate:

I seriously doubt that there has been time for that bust to effect the Michigan black market. And as far back as ten years ago I was buying BC bud or home grown instead of Mexican.
