Seriously, CFLs will produce quality meds if you have enough lumens and know what you're doing. I know this is true as I had the chance to sample some of HJ's meds [Vortex] run under CFL at the Expo a few years ago. As top shelf as it gets with any HID. He made a CFL believer outta me although I still use HPS.

 

Lumens are useable light, and the only thing plants know. They don't know or care about watts or volts, just lumens. Lumens don't add up either. A light producing 130,000 lumens added to another light producing the same, is still 130,000 lumens. You only have more coverage. Quality genetics and 10,000 lumens per sq. ft. anyway you lay it down and you will grow high quality meds.

 

Until someone figures out how to do light without heat, we will either have heat issues, or begin receiving Christmas cards from Edison. I don't run anything in the summer. I grow enough during the winter to last me the rest of the year.

Excessive heat wave is set to return the week of July 25th

Personally I love the heat, but my grow room is screaming for relief.

 

I just watched the weather most days around 90 next week but Monday nite and Tuesday will have some relief

I never thought i would see the Day in Northern Michigan

that i would be HAPPY to see Summer Go ....

 

We're very lucky up here to have 3 months of summer ...

 

6 -7 months of winter , But our weather up here

is nothing like the winter of 1972 ...

 

I remember seeing snow up to our basement house windows

and having to use a real Out-house and heating the

house w/ real Coal ...

 

Even the humidity seems to be very high this summer ?

I was born in the blizzard of 1978. My mother was taken to hospital in a army truck the snow was that bad.
