we are trying to do this on our own. There will be 3 lights but 1 is on B.O.

Looks like a great start.

 

Why not hang the lights uniformly ?

my "mentor" says this way there will be fewer "dead" spots that will not receive enough light. I didnt want sharp bends in the duct work either for better air flow to disipate the heat

whacked that kinda makes sense to me but I am a new grower with only 1 light LOL

If you can cover the exposed romex for the ballast plugs. Overtime the lights will degrade the jacket. It will become brittle and crack apart. The electrical code calls for all romex to be concealed.

 

Otherwise the room looks good.
