America is falling further and further behind the rest of the world in so many areas its frightening. In particularly the areas of science, education and research.

 

With the Tea Party GOP Holier Than All Ya All crusaders de-funding all areas of science, education,and research. The United States could turn into a nation of rain men, with-out the intelligence, just the vacant eyes and mumbling.(kind of what Tea Party GOP does now)

Israeli Government Approves Guidelines For Medical Marijuana Research

Cabinet agrees on arrangements and supervision of marijuana supply in medical centers and for research; 6,000 people in Israel currently treated with medical cannabis. The Israeli government approved on Sunday arrangements and supervision regarding the supply of cannabis for medical and research purposes.

 

A statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s media adviser said “the Health Ministry will – in coordination with the Israel Police and the Israel Anti-Drug Authority – oversee the foregoing and will also be responsible for supplies from imports and local cultivation.”

 

Of approximately 6,000 Israelis currently being treated with medical cannabis (aka medical marijuana), most suffer from chronic pain and terminal illnesses. The therapeutic potential of cannabis has been known for many years and is recognized by the Health Ministry.

 

But many patients – for example, victims of sexual assault suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD ) who have psychiatric recommendations for treatment with medical cannabis – encounter bureaucratic obstacles.

yup and they realy dont have the mj problem that most countrys have,,yes i know they have it and it supports the infitada there,,,but isreal leads the world in just about everything,,maybe when gods chosen ones say it is good medicine shuett head will listen!

I get unfiltered, unbiased US news from, npr, BBC World, and gasp... Al Jazeera. Its nice to get a news story that is informative and gives all sides of the story with-out all the BS bias and party rhetoric, like American news casts used to be like.
