CALEDONIA TWP. — Two Richardson Road residents are facing marijuana charges after the Mid-Michigan Area Group Narcotics Enforcement Team seized multiple plants being grown at their residence July 2 .

 

Charles LaClair, 38, and Emily Jaskowiak, 35, were arraigned Aug. 16 and were charged with manufacturing marijuana, which is a seven-year felony or a fine of no more than $500,000, said Lt. Jim Wolfe of MAGNET.

 

if; Wolfe said the unit was called to the residence after the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office repsonded to the scene regarding a separate incident and located the illegally grown marijuana plants.

 

MAGNET arrived and confiscated an undisclosed number of plants — Wolfe did not want to give the number of plants prior to a possible conviction, nor did he say if it was an amount considered enough for distribution.

 

There were two minor children at the residence and, per MAGNET’s policy, Child Protective Services was called, he said
