AlternativeSolutionsPlus
Michigan LANSING State Attorney General Bill Schuette issued an opinion this week saying the owner of an apartment building, hotel or similar facility can prohibit the use or growing of medical marijuana anywhere in the building. The opinion by Schuette, a Republican, says the voter-approved 2008 medical marijuana law would not prevent an apartment or hotel owner from banning the drug. He said the law prohibits patients from smoking the drug in public areas of restaurants, motels, apartment buildings and other public places. Medical marijuana advocates say Schuette is trying to make it more difficult to get and grow marijuana
