thanks for all the help, I love growing and hope I can keep doing it and get very good at it. Wife commented on the lower electric bill it was $95 and normally over $110. I did not tell her my 198w Power compact was running 24hr for 2 months LOL but once that bill gets bigger I am gonna need a patient to help

Lol, my wife has finally learned to turn the lights/tv etc off when your not using it.

Ok I just came down from up stairs and I noticed some new spots on the upper leaves. I lowered the plant another 2" it is about 2 feet below light. I would think this is enough. Can it still get enough light if I get the light higher The Deep Purple is looking great with no problems.

I would raise it a lil higher and gradually bring it down day by day unless you see more spots...I dont see why it would be burning the leaves at 2 feet away.maybe someone else can anwser?

thats kinda what I though it seemed pretty high and I feel no heat at all on the back of my hand. It is in a small pot and I will be transplanting probably tomorrow.

Just thought of something, Since I need to transplant the damaged plant could this over heating be due to small root structure? It is in a very small pot like not even a gallon maybe half

No I dont think so.small pot and to many roots would make it kinda droopy and stunted looking.Only thing I can think of is maybe theres a few hots spots your reflector is making

Your probably right, I am gonna get a fan up there. I also raised the light more so it is over 2 feet now. I am gonna watch and slowly move the light down.
