I use the First Alert briefcase, two sizes the $25 is smaller, you want the $35 one - it can hold three mason jars. It is airtight, some waterproof, and stink proof. It comes with a lock, so its plausible to LEO that you care about keeping your meds secure.

 

Isawthelight - is right - in michigan it is illegal to have a hidden compartment in your car, designed with the purpose of hiding contraband from LEO. They can impound your car and seize it. I used to do auto stereos and security systems, we got offers to make electronic controlled compartments, a no-no.

 

If your car smells like marijuana you can imagine all the hassle and risk you'll get.
