What Is Going On In Lansing?

I used to go out to the east side compassion club quite often when it first started up, and have seen the rise and fall of the dispensaries in the city. So I was wondering, what is going on in Lansing now? Are there any farmers markets that meet? Is the east side cc still going on? I've seen a dispensary open up again, how many are there now and where are they at?

Just been out of the loop for a little so I'm wondering what the news is :).

Let's not cry in our beer. The foolish in our community did it to us. The community waved the red flag for the bull named ShittieSchuette and the bull charged. The fools who opened the dispensary that Bill drove past everyday on his way into work put a guy dressed as a bud! jiggling and dancing outside the store; the guy really looked the part of a STONER. Made medicine a circus. U do not see CVS do this crap, with a guy dressed as a Valium or Vikodan inviting pill popping.

The problem always boils down to Government wanting to regulate the supply and take a cut for their time and trouble . I get so upset when they say their just trying to stop patient abuse . If that was true totally unregulate medical Cannabis within the closed qualified patient community like the Act had the tools to do and many voted for . Schuette said during the 2008 campaign this would open the door to cannabis commerce including dispensaries and we voted yes for it as part of medical use . Now he wants to use his personal dislike of our Act to reverse the election and is holding us all hostage to his political office powers not following his duty to implement Medicinal Cannabis as the Act describes in a safe manner protecting patients from harm as a primary focus . Any policy that would increase the arrests and involvement in the judicial system of someone already in over their head in the medical system is unsafe for patients .

The best thing that could ever happen for caregivers is to see both the Farmers Markets and Dispensaries excepted creating a solid cash market for their crop . Patients benefit too because they need as much competition as possible to lower black market inflated prices people are used too and quick safe access to a disposable crop when liquidations of it take place . Also In every case of a storefront or Farmers Market quality standards are improved over the street . The main problem with dispensaries is in order to survive they must have supply and Law Enforcement has made it clear they won't stand for purchases off the black market . I am just amazed the locker system which prevented that ( it is impossible to do 100% ) for the most part was overturned . Those guys had the right business model IMHO for a stand alone storefront . I honestly still love the Farmers Market Concept and the more I hear about it the more I like it . It will force the Federal Government to stand up and move forward with a fair tax policy . This idea that people obeying State law cannot run commerce because the Supreme Court wont allow equal tax treatment for Medicinal Cannabis is one of the most egregious violations of the fair principles of our democracy that exists in our time . I pray daily for God to protect all our caregivers who operate in current times and for Politicians to correct unfair policy so those who choose to can truly have legal access to medical Cannabis . So we can move on to solving real problems that face patients like access to work , education , and more assistance with dependent medication protections and assistance with problems .

These areguements about prohibition and people whom supply medications go on and on with patients stuck in the middle and no programs to actually help them with medication issues . It is especially dangerous when you get several disassociated specialists creating a poly chemical regimen and nobody listens to the patient complaints . Going into a nursing home or Foster care where they just force whatever the prescribed pills are on someone without regard to daily self evaluation or needs is torture and hurting patients . Rules are important but common sense even more so . When you look at what Bill Schuette is doing in terms of changing a voter initiative issue he lost on it is hard not to believe he should step down from office and let someone in that will help implement the law from a impartial standpoint understanding all components must be workable under a legal umbrella . Cannabis has proved to be very safe as well as unique and unduplicateable synthetically it is ridiculous to block people from accessing it's medicinal benefit under the acts terms of medical use .
