solabeirtan
Pot smokers get into fewer deadly car crashes than beer drinkers, a recent study (.pdf file) finds, although its authors say the conclusion shouldn't be seen as encouragement to smoke marijuana and drive. Your car insurance company certainly isn't cutting stoners a break. The study found that in the 16 states where medical marijuana is legal, there has been a drop of nearly 9% in traffic deaths since the laws took effect and a 5% drop in beer sales. Marijuana and alcohol are substitutes for each other, the researchers found, with fewer people drinking alcohol in states with medicinal marijuana. MightyMightyMezz
I guess crappy beer must be taking a real hit because Michigan micro-breweries are booming. Medical marijuana promotes good taste in beer??? Guests pack the Dark Horse Brewing Co. in Marshall on a recent afternoon. The brewery is completing a $700,000 project to increase capacity, add a conference room, office and more. solabeirtan
There is a short video comparing tobacco vs cannabis smoke on the link, too, with surprising results. Didn't notice it before, maybe they added it in... As far as beer and cannabis, it's one or the other for me. I dont drink any more and I'm happy with that. Enjoy ... Timmahh
its been a long known fact, many drink beer as a substitute to cannabis once they get into a more comfy job/career. The decision to use beer over cannabis has little to do with one "maturing" or outgrowing a rebellious phase, but more to do with the reality that you may get some fines, hefty court costs and lawyer fees, jail time, perhaps a manslaughter charge, and get to become a burden on the taxpayer, but the chances of having everything stripped and labeled a dirty pot smoker is more dangerous than being an alcoholic, or prescription pill abuser, So the obvious choice is to stop using the safe, health conscious choice of cannabis, and substitute it with the more dangerous alcohol and pharmaceutical drugs. After all, there is no money in Self Preservation.
