So I Don't Screw This Up

I have two beautiful females on is Afghan Haze and one is Power Kush. What are your opinions on feeding regiment and or expected flowering times for either strains. I am gearing up towards full organic however these two plants I have been using Fox Farm's Grow Big ferts, should I continue using this at this point or should I just start using ferts geared for flowering? I noticed the nutes I am going to use say only to use once a week. Should I be doing any foliar feedings at this point. These plants are gorgeous and I have really taken my time with these and I don't want to screw it up at this point. It seems like it has taken forever at this point. 9 weeks so far and they are little bushes.

use compost teas and diluted liquid seaweed throughout growth and add some high-phosphorus bat guano tea during flowering for organic gardening. Only use some grow big between 3-4 weeks into flowering. To much nitrogen if you use it all the way through.

If your near Roseville Mi. were having a demo on how to make organic teas! Look for MOCC topic in compassion club listings.

As far as flowering period is concerned a trick I use is UNDER HPS LIGHTING ONLY wait until the pistils on the bloom all look orange. This is a good point to look at the trichomes under a microscope. For traditional growers this is the usually a good point to harvest. I would suggest waiting until you see any evidence of an amber trichome if the strain warrants. Or you can do what some narco idiots do and wait until half or more of the trichomes are amber which results in loosing many of of the interesting properties of many strains in exchange for couchlock effects. Your call.

Let us not judge the "narco idiot" because as I understand it, people with severe pain need to allow 30% of the trichomes to become amber for more effective pain control.

I will judge. I look for strains that lower pain, not necessarily letting mmj degenerate into couch lock mj. They are not the same things. As I said people will do want they want.

Okay so I found out about Narco Idiots, trichomes, couchlock, and HPS lighting. I am not interested in couchlock, I am using HPS lighting and I am getting familiar with trichomes. My question was regarding feeding the plants, I don't want to hurt them at this point. Should I keep using the fertilizer I have been using for veg as well as the ferts for bloom?

use bloom during flower

Bloom formula/molasses

the point with the pistils under the HPS is that HPS makes everything look orange. When A bud that looks all orange is taken out into normal light it looks about half orange. Forces you to wait. I also suggest harvesting a little early , most avg and some late. Then you can compare and grow to taste.

Okay thanks a lot So at this point the veg fertilizer is not needed anymore. I just switch to a bloom and some molasses. Now with the molasses how do I incorporate this into the soil?

I have read Cerventes book on growing as well as two others. I just wanted to see what your opinions were I apologize for pissing you off. I have two females that are around 4' tall and the same in diameter just don't want to kill them. Thanks for the help anyway

I like to carefully pollinate 1 or 2 small buds on a branch and mark them with a twisty tie, then when your thinkin their ready - carefully poke a seed out and see how they are comin along.Make sure they are nice and done!!!

The twisty tie idea is great . Thank you for sharing it in a supportive , polite and unselfish manner .
