Pre-Employment Drug Testing Question

I have a pre-employment urine analysis coming up, and I am wondering if observation by the lab while I pee is legal? I keep reading that it is highly unlikely that a person will be observed pre-employment because there is no reason to be suspicious. But I've had a friend tell me he was observed once. I've read a few times that it's illegal, as well as a pat down, same friend told me he got patted down once, too. This is only my 2nd drug test either.

 

The test will be at Concentra labs.

I'd like some concrete answers before I decide on which method I will use to pass the test.

I am a current card holder in Michigan, and this job will be at a non-gov't, private organization. Office job.

well IMHO if you hide thing it may be worst because they will know you are having something to hide so i would just play it cool and see how things go first

at Concentra they have two testing areas. one for DOT tests, one for employment. DOT test, someone is near but not watching. you can still stealth/switch.

 

the employment side, you'll go to an exam room. from there they'll tell you to leave your things and be escorted to PRIVATE bathroom. easy switch

 

then your physical, if called for.

 

 

key tip....warm sample to 100 degrees before hiding somewhere close to body. warm.

 

on the side of the cup will be a temp strip. your temp MUST not be lower than 92 degrees with 96 being perfect. if your sample is too warm, just take your time and stir around till in the zone. if close to 92? GET IT OUT THERE!!

Concentra does not watch people give their sample.

They do require that you not flush the toilet for some reason.

I just passed a 12 panel test with a synthetic, temp is key!!!!! put a temp strip on the bottle like the ones you see on fish tanks. use a hand warmer to keep it at temp. it worked perfect for me

Concentra doesn't watch unless you fail the first sample. As if the temp is wrong . I always take two samples of synthetics in as once it was to hot. Have had to go there over ten years now . Synthetics everytime ..
