Medical Marijuana Slogan

Recommended Posts

I have heard that we need a 'To The Point' Slogan, like for signs and stickers.

Here's a quick attention getter;

A picture of a prescription bottle with a red X on it. The word in front of it; PROBLEM. Then a cannabis leaf with the medical symbol on it. The word in front of that; SOLUTION.

Just two pictures and two words. Short and sweet, right to the point. You could add the words: MY CHOICE. Or: MY RIGHT TO CHOOSE.

Both this and Dr.Bob's idea sound more like marketing idea's to me. The questions I have are..what's the goal? If we are trying to use a slogan to get out a bigger message..what's the message? This should be well thought out and before any slogan or catch phrase is put out..a place to view that message to direct people, meaning a Message to Market match. Effective messaging is critical..that's the key to success. You first need the catch phrase..and then you need much more like...Engaging, Relevant and Unique Content. It’s all about content – information. Good information. Relevant information. Engaging information. Hard to find information. Unique information...and so on. There's many things that go into marketing a message successfully.

If implemented correctly...something like this could further our movement..but done the wrong way it could hurt us!

Sure. It was just a thought. I wanted something that could easily be seen and understood. That was my main goal with that one. It would fit on a sticker and could be further elaborated on a sign.

Well I don't know what you guy's are trying to accomplish..but if it is to market Marijuana as Medicine..you will need much more than a slogan...and a sign.

This is for a bumper sticker type ad. How much more can you fit on there and still read it? It was suggested that we have a short 'one liner' and this was what I came up with. I'm not into marketing at all. I'm just an activist patient, not really trying to be an entrepreneur with medical cannabis. This is more of a political statement, not a money maker. An educational tool to show where patients are coming from and they want to be able to choose the better choice over pills, cannabis.

Resto..I agree Educational tools are truly the key..but for those not in the know..what will a slogan on a bumper sticker do? How will it show where patients are coming from and why they choose cannabis over pills? We would need more.

Would this not give LEO another reason to pull us over?

If anything comes of this..I would be opposed to the bumper sticker. There are better way's that would be far more effective without drawing any unwanted attention to patients who already have concern's about driving.

you could always show a video of a baby getting ahold of a bottle of grandmother's pills and swallowing a handful, throwing up, convulsing and ultimatley dying in it's own vomit......

or you could show the same child alive with cannabis in any manner of situations, the ending result is the same, a perfectly healthly child....

I think the message is; Truth And we get there by educating an a public that has been force fed bs about cannabis for years. This is an engrained programming specifically done to control what people think of this plant. People are truly waking up to the truth, don't try to spin anything or they will spit it back up on you; just tell them the truth. People can handle the truth, they are hungry for it.

how about rubber stamping singles with a message or with a mmma dedicated page address? like that bill game "where's george" i mean if they can do it why cant we?

wheresgeorge.gifwheres.JPG

Technically illegal (defacing currency) but I think with the wheresgeorge campaign we might be able to get away with it.

Whatever you do, don't say anything remotely funny (or, trying to be funny) otherwise, too many people get offended.

Hell, I like what Dr. Bob was trying to do - simply start a discussion about a "catch phrase". Plus, he was donating some renewals for the contest winner(s). What is wrong with trying to generate a discussion on a message board?

I like the idea. I just wouldn't put a bumpersticker on my car for a multitude of reasons. But, I would be willing to do anything else.

People who are in constant & chronic pain and who are totally & permanently disabled seek laughter as a form of therapy and medicine....

I think it's safe to say I won't be stating publicly that the new catch phrase should be "Puff, puff, pass..."

In all seriousness, more awareness does need to be raised about the number of people who prefer to use cannabis as a medicine vs the harmful & deadly narcotics and opiates all too happily prescribed by the majority of doctors (drug pushers of the pharmaceutical industry) in our state.

Why else do you think there are Walgreen's, Rite-Aid, CVS, and other pharmacies on seemingly every street corner?

I'm far more concerned about driving near pharmacies and bars than I am when I go to a dispensary or compassion club.

To me, medicinal grade cannabis is a far more safer form of treatment than anything the pharmaceutical world has to offer.

AKenewell is correct, the message needs to be awareness and education. A reason for someone to give it some thought, who might otherwise not agree with it. This is a polarizing topic so the focus should be on awareness and or education. The message should lead to further investigation. This is just a small example; post card, sticker, etc...

Has anyone ever died from a cannabis overdose?

No; not even once.

Tobacco…340,000 – 425,000 +

Alcohol (excluding crime/accidents)…150,000 +

Drug overdose (prescription)…14,000 – 27,000 +

Drug overdose (illegal)…3,800-5,200 +

Aspirin…180- 1000+

Marijuana/Cannabis…0

Why is it illegal again?
