Roadtrip - This Weekend - What Should I See In Mi Next Week?

Recommended Posts

Hello again, well got next week off from work and planning to drive from Fl on Sat, to checkout my hopefully new place in Flint! I am trying to get appt. with Dr. Meyer while I am there, and if I can close on house hope to get my DL and also utilities started for proof of residence.

I have to come back the following Sat, but was wondering if anyone can recommend stuff to see and do between appts next week.

For example are there any farmer's markets during the week in the Flint/Saginaw areas, or patient seminars?

Can I go and checkout the genetics on display anywhere, without having my permit yet?

Thanks!

I don't believe you wil be allowed in a Farmers Market anywhere unless you have a card from another State or your approval letter which only takes 15 days now though some won't accept anything but a hard card . . Look for a open to the public educational compassion club meeting and attend but expect people to be cautious . Until you have your paperwork you won't want to have genetics period .

So the CC meetings on the calendar are open to public? I tried to get description, but never saw one, not sure what I did wrong. All is see is that every Thurs I believe it was has a meeting scheduled, somewhere. As long as I can confirm residence, hopefully get recommendation or at least first bona fide visit, and get my utilities turned on - the trip will be a success!

Am I forgetting anyhing else??

I have to come back in a week, and finish a project at work, while packing wrapping things up around here. LOTS of work to do to move my schtuff...

Thanks all!

I made the drive from Lansing to Key west a few years ago. Thats a loooong drive! I have to suggest driving through "The Dragons Tail" in TN on the way up if you've never been there(unless your towing something). I think its 300+ curves in 11 miles. One of the best roads in the country to drive through, especially on a bike. Passengers should have Dramamine ready!!!

That's HWY129 Tail of the Dragon, Deals Gap NC.

Great road If you have a fun car or bike.

I sold my VMAX recently, to make this move, and since I didn't ride it much anymore anyhow. Getting too old with aches and pains now, so prefer comfort. Thought about driving my Mach1, but it needs tires, so since my Altima SE is still under warranty, I will bring it, but not really a sports car. Thanks!

I had a subaru wagon rental and still had a blast! That mach1 for sale? F@#$in sweet car! Your altima would do great in the dragon, better than the mustang, better suspension and handling

I had my 03 Torch Red Mach1 for sale for $9,900 when I got rear ended 2 months ago. The car has been fixed and looks better than before it was hit, with new rear bumper cover. I believe that is all that had to be replaced, but have detailed paperwork on all repairs. They billed geico like $2250 to repair and clean. It has about 69K miles. I have pics if you are serious about making a reasonable offer. I will deliver, if you drive me to the airport next weekend. Thanks!

Man, I wish I could afford it. Sounds nice! Been Laid off since April last year. Trying to sell my Yamaha maxim just to keep the lights on! Maybe when I get back on my feet I'll shout at ya and see if you still got it. Back on topic, if your into fishing I can show you some of the best spots in MI that no one knows about!

HA!! I just gave up fishing, again, had my house and back porch filled with glass aquariums and plastic ponds (outside) FULL of the most awesome African Cichlids from Lake Malawi. 22 aquariums and 3 ponds, for many years! I thought I would be able to breed and sell them, and eventually quit my day job I would have so much $. Then the recessions hit, and nobody was buying fancy fish, or very few. Good luck with the job hunt! I got a pretty full schedule, house inspection on Tues, Dr Meyer on Thurs, and not sure what else in between.
