Advise On Proper Cfm For Fan/filter

If I have an inline fan that circulates at 650 cfm, should I get a filter whos specs match that as closely as possible? Would it be more or less efficient to go with a higher rated CFM filter for that fan, or not really make a difference? Thanks.

I always oversize my filter

 

It puts less static pressure on the fan

 

650cfm sounds like a decent size too

I use the tool here and go up to the next highest number.

I also recommend those filters, pricey but worth it.
