Marijuana Seeds Tips and Tricks

A great tip after acquiring marijuana seeds, there may be extra left over after planting your garden so storage is important. Store your product in a cool, dry and dark environment. Some experts believe a temperature of 4º C is best which means the refrigerator not the freezer, and placed in an air tight container to avoid condensation.

If you're not into the fridge for storage then the back of a drawer or closet is good. Avoid intense light, heat and moisture. Storage can last 2 years and then the germination rate starts to decline. We have personally had 5 year olds germinate just fine.

Average male to female ratio of regular seeds is 50/50 so germinate twice as many as needed, Stressful growing situations can produce males and hermaphrodites. You won't know if you have a male or female until the growth period starts. Feminized cannabis will have a female ratio much higher. A new type of marijuana is auto-flower which means your plant has rapid flowering right away.

Just some info on how to keep your genetics safe for years to come, Any experinced seed handlers please post if you disagree with the above post. I'm not a gentic guru, Just came across some info that sounded pretty helpful.

Yep a refridgerator works just fine.Use a glass container and fill it half way with rice(not the instant stuff),seal it tight and you should be good to go.The freezer works fine to,but it is more for long term storage, only take out from freezer what you plan on using.I treat it like food, once it comes out of the freezer,it doesnt go back in.
