Ryan Says Medical Cannabis Should Be Left To The States But His Prior Vote On This Issue Says Otherwise

Recommended Posts

Ryan says medical cannabis should be left to the states but his prior vote on this issue says otherwise.

Attached is the rohrabacher-hinchey-mcclintock-farr amendment to h.r. 5326 that would have left medical marijuana to the states and was voted on back in May.  Here is the roll call vote( Rep. Dan Benishek(MI-1) DID vote yes):

You will notice that Mr Ryan of WI voted against it wholeheartedly. Ryan spoke with his vote that medical marijuana should NOT be left to the states.

Paul Ryan says states have the right to legalize medical marijuana (and the issue would not be a priority for a Mitt Romney administration)

Ryan also voted against Hinchey-Rohrbacher the previous two times it had come up, in addition to voting against DC's medical program.

And with Romney dropping quotes like this:

"‎"I would not legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes, and the reasons are straightforward: As I talk to people in my state and at the federal government level about marijuana and its role in society, they are convinced that the entry way into a drug culture for our young people is marijuana. Marijuana is the starter drug....The idea of medical marijuana is designed to get marijuana out in the public marketplace and ultimately lead to the legalization of marijuana overall. And in my view, that's the wrong way to go. I know that other people have differing views. If you'd like to get someone who is in favor of marijuana, I know there are some on the Democratic side of the aisle who will be happy to get in your campaign. But I'm opposed to it, and if you elect me president, you're not going to see legalized marijuana. I'm going to fight it tooth and nail."

i think this thread does a great job to point out the ignorance of the American voter....what this turd just did...was say what obammer said, what your afraid this turd will do....is just what obammer has done...and some of you fools still insist we should vote for obammer. wake up people if you think a 3rd party cant win your ignorant to the current state of American politics....A vote for obamma or a vote for romney is vote to put cannabis pts in prison.

I think it is pretty clear where the "fear mongering " is coming from

Doesn't change the fact the legitimate candidate most likely to advance medical marijuana in a positive direction is President Obama.

im going to assume that in you OPINION only obammer and mit romney are valid options...in which case neither of them is likely to do anything beyond putting you in prison for using a legal medicine.

Ron Paul lost, so whichever way we vote, we face a President exercising continuing federal force with hypocrisy ("no known med value"). Romney says he will fight us; Obama said he wouldn't yet has speared way more of us than Bush.

Hold on one Second here.

Bison. Obama is HARDLY a legitimate candidate, but that aside, He has been the worst president on Cannabis on any nature, because he, like Romney, will turn it over to Beyer, Merc, and DOW Chemical (another bull schiette connection).

Fact is Gary Johnson USED MEDICAL Cannabis to FIGHT CANCER, and Knows first hand it's usefullness. He WILL bring it out mainstream like Alcohol, and open the HEMP Industry.

Fact is Ron Paul is a Medical Dr (OBGYN by Practice) and KNOWS the medical Benefits of Cannabis and has said he will Bring it out Mainstream, as he would do with most other drugs.....

SO when you say Obama is the only legitimate candidate for the future of Cannabis in the United States that is Positive, you are just regurgitated Hopes and Dreams Leftover from Yes WE Can. Wel, We DID, HE DIDNT. it GOT WORSE, and it will continue to get worse under Either Obama or Romney.

Pic Book

Ron Paul Lost NOTHING. the Republican Nomination was stolen from him, but that is not the Presidential Election. THAT election is not until Nov 6th. Many states (Michigan included are looking into voter machine tampering, as all votes were sent to a company in SPAIN to tally the COUNTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This isnt Orwell, though it is a page right out of his Book.

Everyone should be pissed off.

For what it is worth, The men that died fighting to found this country, would of bee fighting to Save it a few elections ago.

You all must see, That is part of the Lie they want you to believe in. You only have the choice they give you.

And if you vote for Obama or Romney, you have Completely Bought into that lie. Get your RFiD Chip and move along, follow the yellow/blue/red line to the respective area in the camp, and the Brownshirts will be along shortly to help you seal your fate.

Ron Paul will be on every state as a write in, with the exception to the 6 or 7 states that do not have the write in option. (which the citizens of these states need to challenge imo). Gary Johnson will be on EVERY Ballot in EVERY State. Gary is a Very valid candidate, and as a 2 term Governor of New Mexico, left office fulfilling his term limit with a plus 70% approval rating as a Republican Governor in a Democratic State, and a State Budget Surpluss of 1 Billion Dollars. To Ignore his Leadership ability at a time as important as now, would be foolish and suicidal for a Country in the position we find our selves in. 16T in Secured debt, and nearly 50 Trillion in Un secured Debt, and a BIG PRIVATE BANK running the Show with Wall Street.

Parts of our own government is at war with itself, and We the People are getting the Taint Rub out of it.

Voting for Obamney or Romnbama will only mean We Get FUKED harder.

Voting for Obamney or Romnbama will only mean war with Iran Thanks to Isreal, which means war with Russia and China, All Nuclear Holding Nations.

Voting for Obamney or Romnbama will only mean Death of your children, either overseas or in a FEMA Camp here.

Voting for Obamney or Romnbama will only mean the loss of the 2nd Amendment, and Loss if the 1st as a Result, and all Freedoms and Liberty.

Voting for Obamney or Romnbama will only mean Socialism (Obama) akin to Stalin or Brezhnev, or Fascism (Romney) akin to Musolini and Hitler.

Voting for Obamney or Romnbama will only mean the last vote you or your children will ever get to cast for the rest of days.

Voting for Obamney or Romnbama will only mean a Vote for Evil.

A vote for Obama or Romney is a vote for the finale Death of America, and the Birth of the Corpmerica Inc.

Or you can JUST SAY NO, and vote for Ron Paul by writing him in, or Gary Johnson.

Otherwise, it has been nice getting to know you. GL in your Futures.

And now the libertarians lost the case to have Gary Johnson on the ballot in Michigan.

It is a smart move by the republicans and Ryan to say what he said, but words and actions often tell two tales.

And on a side note. Zap, How long are you going to let Ganja warrior get away with this BS?

And with Bill Schuette his Attorney General that could very well happen
did you say that? or obamma? or both?

who is that a quote from your biased one sided fear mongering is disgusting.

“If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”
