Calls From Dte Energy 313.235.2846 ?

The bill is paid ... never been late. Usage is high. I keep getting calls from the above number. They never leave a message and when I try to call back their number is always busy ... ALWAYS. Has anybody gotten these calls and know why they.re calling.

its just a messed up auto dialer at DTE.

 

they only call for two reasons.

1 - to tell you they will be in your hood, reading your meter

2 - to sell you a 'house protection plan' aka insurance. sometimes the caller id comes up 'DTE - HPP' for me.

 

watch out for #3

 

3 - a non-dte call from a scammy 3rd party energy reseller middleman trying to sell you service in bundles for a 'discount'. this is what ENRON did. you see how well that went?

I get this every month around this time its to let you know they will be in your yard to check your meter no worries.

I get letters that say your usuage is 800x you reigbors, if this seems wrong please call... 800.xxx.xxxx with a neat picture of my house smokin up the electric.. lol i wouldn't worry about it..
